    hi all,
im a newbie so please bear with me...
im 5.9 and am hitting 15 stone. basically i think that it's all gone to my stromach. I played football for years but in the last 3 years i have basically stopped doing any exercise at all. I drive everywhere and 90% of my working day is behind a desk. I really want to loose the belly that i have aquired and get fit.... this is the unfittest i have ever been. I tend to eat alot of carbs during my meals, but have very picky tastebuds.. dont like tomatos, spicy food, ayo, vinegar etc...
I have tried walking for twenty or so mins a day and find that i tired, which has never happened befor.

i am posting a usual daily food intake below and would love to get rid of this stomach... i drink most weekends but its guiness rather than larger....
any help advice etc would be appreciated

    thank you in advance

    Usual Day
wake at 7 drive to work
have coffee in car and Knore Vie compressed fruit and veg shot then have banana

1-2 lunch sandwich (ham/chicken/cheese or turky) four white sliced pan and choc bar and cup of tea

    6.00
drive home from work, have packet of crisps in car

    7.30
dinner: striploin steak mashed potatoes (alot of...) carrotts/corn pint of water

    8.30 - 10
between this time i have tea and a couple of biscuits

This stays the same monday to friday, all that changes is dinner...alternate between:
    posrk chops, mash and carrots
    burger chips (bread with chips)
    pizza
chicken breast and chips or mash...

PLEASE HELP... feeling a bit depressed writting this.

Well if you dont use it you lose it. Quite simply your body is no longer used to walking for 20mins. You need to build back up your fitness.

Your diet is pretty bad tbh, breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day Knore vie and coffee and a bananna are not going to give you the right start to the day. Yes your diet is full of processed carbs (which are not good for you as you noted) and loads of stuff that you dont need me to tell you is not going to help in the getting the bf down. There is loads of good diet and nutrional info in the stickies. have a read through it.

Okay so you wanna lose the belly, but how much do you want it and what are you prepared to change to do so? For example, Are you preparted to give up booze for a while or at least cut down? or Are you prepared to monitor you food intake? or Are you prepared to eat 6 times a day and reduce processed carbs in your diet? or Are you prepared to increase your excercise and work your ass off?

Now i am not saying that if your not prepared to do all of the above you wont lose the belly but you need to determine for yourself how much you want this and what you are going to do about it.

Have a good read through the stickies and come up with a diet plan that you think is healthy and achievable for you, you can post it up for feedback!

Try getting up fifteen minutes earlier and cooking a bowl of porridge. Thats full of complex carbs that will give you a good start to the day.

Also you could switch from white to brown bread at lunch.

Atleast you know where you need to make changes. Thats the first step.

    Good luck.

thanks for the advice thus far.
I'll start getting up a little earlier and having a bowl of cereal and using brown instead of white bread.
There is a lot of talk of 5-6 meals a day on the forum ... could anyone recomend a sugested example breakdown of such a plan for someone who doesnt eat sauces, tomatos, vinegar, mayo or spicy food... i know im a bit picky when it comes to what i eat... i have also started to go for walks, only 15/20 mins but it is at least a start.... i hope:o
any other sugestions would be great
    thank you

    1. Porridge Seeds and 1 apple
    2. Hard Boiled egg too slices of wholemeal bread,
    3. 2 pieces of wholemeal bread and peanut butter (100% peanuts) and 1 glass of milk
    4. small steak and veg
    5. PWO 1.5 scoops of RAM

Something like that would be a kinda typical day for me. Other things i swap in are tuna pitta bread, chicken salads etc.

its going in the right direction, the most obvious thing i see is the cereal bar, in general whilst this may be low in cals they are msotly comprised of sugar and weetabix are a better option than cornflakes btw. Anyhow its going in the right direction but you need to eat more regularly (there is a 12 hour gap between dinner and your next meal!) and more protein!!

thanks for the advice, the ceral bar is called a kellogs nutri-grain bar if this makes any difference. regarding the 12hr gap, i was under the inpression that you shouldnt eat late at night? should i start using protein shakes ay night.... akthough i've never even seen one or tasted one :o
    thanks
