Best PWO Shake for late training

    Hi All,

    Advice much appreciated:

    I have been reading a lot, both on here and other websites, about the best post gym shake ingredients and pretty much have settled on whey/malto/dextrose (37g of each as I'm 93kg)

    Due to constraints of work etc I can't get to the gym until about 8pm on weekdays, which is less than ideal I guess, so I am wondering is that too much carbs so late in the evening?

    I've seen different views of including carbs in your PWO shake but most seem to advise in favour (the amounts I'm using) but I would be weary of having the carbs at 9.30 (3hrs before bed).

    Any suggestions?

    In my opinion,

    if you burst your gut in the gym, eat as much as you want*. Your body will need it through the night.

    *eat as much as you want does not mean stuffing your face with ****e.

    Post workout is the one true "free" time you have. Just get it into you. It WILL be used to build muscle and recover from. Also make sure you're eating again before bed.
