    Hey all,

I'm trying to stream music to my PS3.

I've connected to my media server but when I go to every folder in the music section I get "no tracks"

I can stream pictures no problem.

I can stream music to my Xbox 360 no problem which prooves that there's defo music in the music folder!

    Any ideas??

Sorry....I'm just using windows media player.

I set it up like the xbox set up....went into options, library and media sharing, the PS3 is there as unknown device and it's setup to allow media sharing.

    Try TVersity:
    http://tversity.com/support/devices/

Supports PS3 and 360 out of the box now. I just started using it and its well worth a download. Works with all your PC's in the house too so good for sharing between your brothers etc..

You need software on your PC to stream music etc. to the PS3. Try Twonkymedia or Nero Media Home.

Been using Twonkymedia. It will only play mpeg2 video files. Even files that are usually supported on the PS3 (mp4 etc) won't play with it. I have been using Twonkymedia for over a year now with a Dlink device. The newest releases are very buggy. I keep having to reinstall 4.1 to get some type of functionality going.
