The maritime festival is on this weekend at Liffey Quays, Dublin. Should be some good photographic opportunities.

Think I'll head into this, anyone else going?

    It looks interesting.

I was hoping to go along Friday after work, or maybe sometime Saturday too.

Ooh, I didn't know it was so soon!

    I got a couple last year: http://www.flickr.com/photos/julieodonnell/sets/72157594168945494

Mad people on stilts, stalls with fruit and sweets and baking and cheese and soaps, you can go on the boats, bands playing, it's fabulous. I spent a good couple of hours walking up and down, last time.

I'll definitely be heading in for it again. Hopefully the weather will be just as good, too :D

i hope to bring my young lad in , Saturday evening , since we missed Slane last week !

Saturdays...I think 1 gig is at 1:00...3:15 and 5:30 on the acoustic stage.

They're called Torann...and are suprisingly good (if you like a lot of banging.)

I think you're allowed on during the open times (12:00-20:00)

I hope so anyway. I brought my 10-22mm too.

I was in today. Weather is stunning, and very very bright. Bring your filters. :-)

Many of the ships you can go on to. No harm bringing a flash too, for inside some ships. Some you have to pay on to, some have bars (beer).

Other than that, well worth a walk around.

Sunrise is indeed, at 4. Will be about most of the day tomorrow. And Sunday.

Lots ... but it depends on the number of people who are around ... just head out the docks towards the point depot ... should be parking on one of the side streets if not the docks themselves ... ping me a text if you fancy meeting up for a cup of coffee..
