    Airsoft Adverts Forum Charter

    *NOTICE*
All users of this forum are required to read and understand these rules before putting an item up for sale. If you start a new thread, it will be taken for granted that you are familiar with all the rules. "I didnt know that was a rule" is not a valid excuse and will not stop your thread being closed and you being banned.

This forum is for the sales of Airsoft related equipment.
    All Adverts must abide by the following rules;

    1.
The muzzle velocity of all devices must be listed CLEARLY. Adverts not doing so will be taken down. A warning may or may not be sent to the OP beforehand.

    2.

NO DEVICES WITH A MUZZLE VELOCITY OVER 1 JOULE OF POWER.
Adverts not adhering to this will be taken down immediately with either a warning or ban handed out to the OP.

    3.
Wanted ads must have the [WANTED] prefix in their title. In addition, wanted adverts considered to be 'lazy' shall be removed at the moderators discretion. A definition of a lazy advert can be considered, although not limited to, looking for 'any AEG as a starter' without bothering to read the Newbie FAQ

    4.
Do not use terms such as Airgun, Pellet gun or anything which refers to a firearm. They are not the same thing. Repeat offense will result in a temporary ban. Continued use may result in longer bans or outright permanent bans.

    5. Irish DPM articles
The following criteria must be strictly adhered to if one wishes to sell or trade Irish DPM articles.
    • Anything that has been issued is absolutely forbidden for sale/trade/etc.
    • You must be able to cite your source. If you can't, you don't post.
    • If you are selling on second-hand kit, you must be able to cite your source. If you are unsure as to where that came from, you don't post.
    • If you are found to be presenting articles for sale in a false manner (i.e. selling issue kit whilst claiming it's been purchased retail), you will receive an automatic permanent ban. You may or may not have your details forwarded on to the relevant authorities also.
    • Items that are definitvely banned include, but are not limited to; BDUs (i.e. shirts/trousers), Smocks, Parkas, Rain-gear, Sleeping systems (Basha/Bivvy bag/Sleeping bag) or parts thereof.

    6. Age restriction
Any user who wishes to buy or sell any RIF must not be under the age of 16 years at the time of posting.
    As per Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009;
    9D.—
    (2) On and after the date of commencement of section 40 of the Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 it is an offence for a person to sell a realistic imitation firearm to a person under the age of 16 years.

    Adverts.ie rules apply here
. Below I have put up a list of the general rules. If you wish for more information, there is a page about it on the boards.ie wiki -

    http://wiki.boards.ie/wiki/Adverts_Rules

    1. All dealings on thread - the golden rule.
f you are discovered to be engaging in off-thread dealing, your thread will be locked and you will be banned. If you make an offer via PM you will be banned. If you received an offer via PM and failed to notify the moderators, you will be banned. It's in every honest user's best interest to keep dealings on thread. It helps us weed out the people who try to rip you, and others, off.

    2. No "Off thread offers"
you are either selling an item on adverts.ie or you are selling it elsewhere. Do not post anything along the lines of "I've recieved an offer of X off-thread/from a friend". If we see those, your thread will be immediately locked and you will likely be banned.

    3. No "Thread Spoiling"

    4. No commercial selling
adverts.ie does not make a profit from its users; neither will any other company. If you wish to engage in commercial interaction, please contact one of the Administrators. The Consumer Information Advertisements Disclosure of Business Interests Order 1984 (Republic of Ireland) requires all advertisements from persons selling goods in the course of a business to make that fact clear. This requirement applies whether the advertiser is acting on his own behalf or for some other person in the course of whose business goods are to be sold.

    5. No "dealers" or vendors, of ANY kind
if you purchase any items in quantity, with the sole intent of bringing them here to resell, you are a dealer, by our definition.

    6. No PM dealing
the Buyer may not PM the Seller of an item unless a deal has been closed with them, by the Seller, on thread

    7. No non-sale related threads
this service is for selling / buying items, it is not for chit-chat. Be aware that non-sale related threads will be locked, binned and you may be banned for such threads. We occasionally make exceptions for this (informing of stolen items which may end up for sale, etc., entirely at the AMods discretion).

    8.Asking price rules

    * Whoever offers the Asking price first gets first refusal.
    * The Asking price is the last price that the Seller has requested for the item.
    * After the Asking price is met, no user may offer "beyond" this; they may, however, continue to offer that Asking price in case that the first to offer drops out.

9.No interest tests / price checks - you are either selling the item or not.
These threads have been shown to cause problems in the past and will be immediately locked and binned.

10.Multiple threads / reposting - Do not post multiple threads offering the same item, no matter how long it has been since your last sale attempt. Do not post in multiple categories even if you feel that it belongs there - choose the single most relevant category.

11.No "bumping" - Bumping is keeping your own sale thread active at the top of the thread list by posting empty or non-informational posts. Some bumping will be tolerated, e.g., where it would conflict with the reposting rule above. An AMod may choose to ignore you bumping your thread, or they may not. If they do not, your thread will likely be locked, preventing further transaction, so it is recommended not to bump. We have prevented the Original Poster (OP) of an advert from replying to it for 24 hours UNLESS someone else has replied first. This forces no bumping for the first day. Please do not continue to bump your own thread every day. You may be banned for this.

    12.No forbidden items

    Feedback

A feedback thread exists for users to post positive or negative feedback on airsoft adverts they have been involved in.

If users have a problem, they are required to first attempt to resolve the issue before posting negative feedback. Resolving the issue requires communication with the other party involved and if they wish, to notify the forum moderators.

    Dispute resolution procedure

    1. If you have an issue with a ban or infraction, the first thing you should always do is PM the Mod(s) of the forum and ask for clarification on what’s gone wrong.

Please don’t expect an answer straight away, Mods are volunteers and are not always in a position to deal with your issue. Give it at least a day.

    2. If you don’t feel satisfied with the answer, or if you haven’t had an answer in more than 2 days, you should start a new thread here in the Dispute Resolution Forum.

When you start this thread, please state what forum you have an issue with, provide links to the thread if applicable (you can get the link by logging out if you’ve been banned from the forum).

    3. A CMod will then investigate and discuss with you and the Mod(s) involved. They may invite the Mod(s) or any other members involved to post on the thread to clarify things.

    4. After these discussions, the CMod will post their decision.

    5. If you feel that the outcome to this is unsatisfactory, you may request an Admin to look things over.

    An Admin’s decision is final.

    Note:
Private message conversations in relation to the topic at hand are ok to publish in the Dispute Resolution forum in an attempt to resolve an issue. This is contrary to normal Boards.ie Guidelines that permission be sought before publication of any PMs sent or received.

The Category Moderators (CMods) for Sport are Sparks and Dub13
