Some late evening arrivals at Dublin on Monday

    Icelandair 757 ... http://flic.kr/p/9BMaPo

Why is the Icelandair there? Maintenance?

    It was a passenger charter.

Trips to Iceland for Easter have operated from Dublin for many years and DC-8s & 727s were commonly used in the past.

I wasn't at all suggesting that anyone was passing off the photo as their own. However the following sets out the terms of use and they could hardly be clearer: http://www.airliners.net/usephotos/ These terms are those of the site, not something I have made up. They are there to protect the intellectual property rights of the photographers, among other things, and should be respected, in my view.

dont let that fall from your high horse change your views then..

Its linked from the site - there is even instructions on how to do this in the sites terms and conditions that you linked!

Westdub!! the A330 landing.....Awesome shot, what I wouldn't give to get a shot of tyre smoke haha! :(:( and the close-up BMI. I need a hanky. :(
and moss the second one you got of the overflight.

I have GOT to start camera research ASAP!! Can I ask another newbie question (newbie to photos anyway) Are you guys standing on stools?? Or just the mound of muck near the fence. Ye have great clear shots. Just took a look at Flickr....yowza, some of those are incredible like the EI A330 'Colum' holy s%^te!! Right- i need to go lie down.

Thanks w@ll3gurl :o Im still a beginner at this photography lark, only started taking pics about 2 years ago with a secondhand slr camera with a cheapish lens and only recently upgraded to a more modern set up....

As for using stools or the more common stepladder I dont use them myself but some people do, the fact that Im over 6ft tall helps avoid the fence in shots most of the time but I do have to stand on the mound like everyone else....

Spent a while this afternoon trying a few different angles see what you all think.....

First up a few from the mound....

Great photos guys!! Gotta love the ATR.They really dont like crosswinds! Many a bumpy a landing i had in them into Knock espically with a gusty Southerly wind across a 27/09 runway.I notice that Aer Arann are useing Knock quite a bit lately for training in the ATR72.The flight is "Arann100T".They often do 10/15 touch and goes then back to DUB.

Westdub that 330 touchdown is a fantastic shot, and anything with the retro Airbus is automatically good:D

    cheers w@ll3gurl,

yup i use steps when needed, alltho i have to admit to takin loadsa fence pics when starting out (still do! lol), snn fences r high and not too many raised vantage points. good luck with the camera research, spose outside of budget its down to the ease of using a compact/bridge camera versus the control of a slr.

westdub love the smoke dude, and im all for unusual angles :) must start rootin thru the collection and see what i can come up with lol

Some photos of helicopters tackling the gorse fire in Donegal, some great skill shown by the pilots was mesmerizing to watch at times, the smaller army was up high directing the other 2 where to go, their work rate was unreal and they worked very close together at times too, anyways enough bulls**t from me,, photos.....

Not the greatest pics I've ever taken.

The aircraft had come and gone before I had time to zoom in on them.

Its such a shame that Ireland does't have any proper firefighting aircraft, love to watch the Candair CL-415's in operation here in Spain, they are extreamly efective and quick. But the one that takes the prize has to be the Evergreen 747 Supertanker which I spotted in action a couple of years ago

Love the angles and the 'stop' sign focus one Westdub....and am I just overly excited or is that a BMI 757 I see?? Anyone know whats the story with that?

If I'm not mistaken I flew on the old FR Eircell a while ago, when I say a while I mean, um.....trying to think, i'd say it was 2001 (?) Not sure if the exact same aircraft (if they had a few done up?) but I certainly remember an Eircell flight back from BVA hehe.

    @Moss
Is it really busy out there at the moment or are you just making it seem like its 'heavy' central what with 747's and 777's,
    Been meaning to head out.
