Depends on what 707 your talking about
VP-BDF was cut up in 1984 and the nose cone went to the muesem in Waterford

More recently 5N-ANO a Nigeria Airways 707 was parked up there from 1989 due to non payment of fee's(IIRC)

It to was broken up circa 1999

Just to clear up any confusion VP-BDF was latter used on a DC-10 operated by Aeroflot and 5N-ANO was also later used on a Foker F-28

Should get plenty of photos on airliners.net

If I was to take an educated guess, I would say an A380 and directly behind it a 747 and in the extreme background an Airbus A330 just going by the way the tails are.

    Your spot on there Steyr
It was impossible to get pics from my position of all the A380's together unfortunatly but it was i sight that was quite impressive withh all of them on the ground at one time

That one was bought in 1984 by the McEvaddy brothers, that was the start of Omega Aviation and the McEvaddy Empire

Well, If it was built anyway like a mini, no wonder it was left lying there and was scrapped :p

Whatever about Ryanair buying Chinese aircraft the Chinese are getting ex Ryanair aircraft leased from RBS Aviation Capital- two left Dublin on delivery to OKAir on Monday last to join another delivered late last year.

B-5577 is ex EI-DAX & B-5578 ex EI-DCB ( they had temporary US regs in between)

I could be wrong but I think I saw an Emirates 380 (on flightradar24, not in person unfortunately) passing over the Clare region yesterday.

Have a look on casper and you should be able to find her, what time was photo taken?

On closer inspection you are right sir, well played:) It is indeed an Emirate A380.
    5555306951_e1fcea4611.jpg
It was around 12:00 I think.

    A6-EDC according to casper.
I watch them with great envy as the various 380 operators always seem to transit at least 80kms north or south of Dublin:( though I have managed to bag an AF and a Lufty at pretty extreme distance. What new camera/lens did you get?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,490 ✭✭✭Killinator

Its not any SLR:(, its a bridge camera.
    http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/5595125/Trail/searchtext%3EFUJI.htm

Bought it for the 18X optical and HD movies, mainly.
    Happy with it so far..

Cool! the pictures above are easily as good as any I take with an DSLR and lens:D and at that money it's a serious bargain.

It was 179 when I got it and a carry bag for 25, buts its still seems very good value from what I've used of it so far.

That is pretty impressive for under E200.
Personally I love the Canon interface. Have tried Panasonic and Fujifilm in small compacts and wasn't comfortable them.

I have my Canon S5 for almost 4 years now. Its also a bridge and I love it. 8MP with 12x optical. Would love to upgrade to better specs in both though.

The Canon SX210 has better specs, is compact sized and is E250 in argos.

The SX30 is the latest version of mine, its bulkier, has 14MP and a whooping 35x optical but its is a hefty E455 in argos.
The 35x zoom may seem like overkill but so many of my shots are from the air so I love the zoom for landscape opportunities

35X optical is almost binocular territory:D
I don't think I could ever justify that kind of money, unless it was job related!

I'll post a short vid to show the HD quality shortly.

On www.flightradar24.com now, a string of Lufthansa heavies (and other stuff) tracking up over Wexford/Tipp/Clare. Grab your new cam Killinator.

    I'll keep looking skyward.
    EDIT:
Here are the ones I could capture, one of the flights was too high and I could get a focus on it,
What looks to me like an Lufthansa A340
    5555545315_b0e009fd6c.jpg
Then what looks like a Ryanair 737
    5555545509_4d56a9d3b7.jpg
    What looks like a 777
    5556131192_9028c54d1d.jpg
And whats almost certainly a Lufthansa 747
    5556149642_79737ed9f2.jpg

Also the aforementioned camera footage, shaky because no tripod, and I'm not totally used to the focusing yet.

If its skipping, its youtube not the video itself.

@moss: That Herc pic is fantastic, was it taken on the roadside or are you inside the perimeter of the airport?
Also really liking that EnterAir scheme.

@westdub: I've always had a soft spot for FedEx aircraft, love the paint scheme, that is an epically good shot!
