These are awesome looking things, I love the tail gunner position. Thought that I had made video of it starting, but unfortunately I had the phone set to photo, wasted opportunity :(

    Hello all,

Thanks to the heads up from regular posters on this forum (Foggy43 & BZ and others) I managed to nip down to Shannon to see the AN225 on two occasions recently and the BA A380.

An EI A320 was doing tough and go's too one of the days.

Few pictures from the 2 days:

Went to visit the world defense show yesterday, weather was too bad for any flying displays, but there was a nice selection of stuff.

    I love airport scrap yards.

And this one, unfortunately it was gone the next day. UR-ZYD.

I’m really convinced that these guys operate every type of commercial airliner presently built.

I flew on Iberia in 2000 and had a look at the back of their inflight magazine, it appeared they operated pretty much every Western jet type ever built except for the Comet!

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

Another Icelandic fly by night? (if you'll excuse the pun)

A Boeing C-17 Globemaster at Hickam Air Base in Hawaii. The hangar was built in the 1940s so needed special doors made to 'fit' the Globemaster
