i got my mac about 3 weeks ago and i noticed already that its starting to get a little gritty
i bought i clear for her and it works v well
th eonly concern now relates to the trackpad, there is dirt on it, and requires a bit of elbow grease to remove, but is it ok to apply pressure to the trackpad to clean it, or is endangering it?
wat about your mac do u clean it regularly if with wat and how often?

i notice the environment in which its used determines how dirty it gets i.e. in my bedroom its quite dusty and the fan tends to blow the dust and dirt around the extractor area.

    What colour is your MacBook?
I use slightly warm water and a microfibre cloth on mine, trackpad aswell.
I've always applied a bit of pressure to the trackpad and it's been fine.

    my mac is white
i bought iclean overe here in boston for $20, came with a kinda shammy cloth, and a few disposable wipes and a 100ml bottle of iclear spray,
    works well
i'v noticed a crack in the plast at the back, the lip, just a surface crack now, but i remember sliding it on this area recently on the floor, knowing the floor wasnt hoovered in a while, so the grit caused it
realised after doing it, tat it wasnt a wise move!
anyway, luv my mac, but thinkin of gettin a rubber sleeve, seen the in the macstore over here, but i wonder, could they cause the machine to overheat?
