Workouts of the Week - Increasing the Rate.

The WOW's given to date have all been given on the assumption that we have a mix of abilities doing them. Hopefully to date people have been giving them ago and finding weaknesses and flaws in there game. I know I have.

The trick to the WOW is you can either be "fit" or you can be comfortable , but it's not very often you can be both. When you see someone in the gym doing a workout with ease that would make you buckle it's only ever because they have done 100 more workouts that would kill you.

In the gym everyone is equal, and we all have the same opportuinites. "Genetics" , "a bad day" and "overtraining" are words that are thrown around with a degree of casualness that instantly puts them in the same catorgory as "cat" and "marmalade". They mean nothing.

From next week onwards there will be 3 WOW's posted a week, each day with a very different goal. If you follow them all then fair play to you, your gonna find the results that your looking for. I am assuming that most people want to be stronger, faster, a bit bigger and a bit leaner than they are right now. Following the WOW's will get you where you want to be. In the very least it will bring you to a platform to launch yourself from into bigger and better things.

For those who have their own plans in mind, and just want to dabble, there will be enough variety for you to be able to pick and choose what you want to do on the days that suit you.

From now on the WOW's will be something that I will be dedicating myself too, because I feel they will get me where I want to be. You can come along, or not, the choice is yours. But it will not be comfortable, and it will not be easy.

I have decided I can no longer build a workout to suit the people who may or may not do it. I can only offer a mould that you can throw yourself against. You’re a person. You are not made of glass and are far less fragile than you think. Heart rates return to normal, breaths are caught and those queasy feelings go away. Whats left is a slightly better version of what was there before. Effort and Honesty in all things lead to improvements and eventually improvements lead to perfection.

I will be leading by example, a new journal, each workout done before it's posted. You will see my own success and failures and efforts and hurdles.

    "Fit?"……yeah, soon.

Ultra great post Dragan - makes me wanna run straight to the gym even though i've just been there! Sounds like a good idea to appeal to more people who might have been put off the WOW and to really help those who are serious about it.
