Bench Fatigue

    Hi,
    I've noticed that when doing certain exercises particulary Barbell Bench Press I fatigue very quickly. Lets say for example for my 1st set on Bench I can do 12 reps of 60KG, I rest for 60-90 secs, but for the second set I can only get 6-7 reps. I know its normal for the reps to drop a bit but is a drop of 5-6 reps normal? Should I increase my rest between sets or reduce the weight for the second set?
    For imformation I am eating and doing cardio twice a week for fat loss, while doing 3 full-body weight sessions per week with 2 sets per exercise aiming for 8-12 reps per exercise.

    Reduce the weight for the 1st set so that you are able to complete all sets. Then increase the weight and when you are able to complete all your sets increase again.

    Are you on a carb-restricted diet?It sounds like you're running out of energy by the second set.You may need to eat more carbs before your workout.
