I was playing football and I went over on my ankle yesterday. I played on and later realised how bad it was when sitting in car on the way home. Last night was agony... could not move foot or toes... and could not put any weight on it. I was convinced I had cracked/fractured something.

I took some Aulin anti inflamatory tablets and it started to feel better. This morning I am able to walk on it but still quite tender and limping somewhat. I can move it a lot more put still sore to move from side to side.

    Any advive will be appreciated.

    Hey Just the One,

If you were NOT listening to the news yesterday and Joe Duffy Id advice you read this if you are taking Aulin:

    http://www.imb.ie/news.asp?nav=70&action=view&news_item_id=150
The Irish Medicines Board [IMB] today announced the suspension of the marketing and sale of nimesulide-containing medicinal products for oral use available in Ireland, with immediate effect.

Since nimesulide was first licensed in Ireland in 1995, a total of 53 liver-related adverse reaction reports have been received. This includes 9 cases of liver failure, 6 of which originated from the National Liver Transplant Unit. Three cases of liver failure resulted in a fatal outcome and the IMB is aware of one additional liver-related fatality. - IMB

    Advice to patients/consumers:

    1. Stop taking the medicine immediately.

    2. Return to your doctor for a review of your condition and further advice.

    3. Return any remaining packs (unused or partially used) of the above products to your pharmacist.

    Aulin is included in this,

    Cheers
    Aidan
