was just checking up on something on twodimes.net,and their quote of the day is this
"Think of how stupid the median poker player is. By definition, half of them are dumber than that."

do i misunderstand the word median or is this not true at all?

The median in stats is the middle value in a set of numbers...

That doesnt make sense to me becuase them refers to the median player. How can the median player deviate from the median?

More than half of the poker players are probably worse than the median player, but the whole statement is airy fairy.

ul mate, I got 4k earlier for the poker mill qualifier, so not a waste of a night, playing the stars qualifier now for WSOP and might play the 200k game on stars.

Just the Betfair $50k and FTOPS #3 ($300 NL) for me.

Early bath in the Betfair tourney when I took on a 50-50 for a 13k pot when average was still just 5,200. limped Js9s, then CRed AsTx8s flop, Mr AT put me in and I predictably missed my outs.

KOed from the FTOPS tourney after just 35 minutes, due to these 2 hands...
