What would you put in a 'best of' compilation?

If you could put together a compilation of the most well-known/popular hiphop/rap songs from the late 80s up to 2000, what would you include?

I'm thinking at least one song from guys like Wu-Tang, Ice Cube, Snoop, Dr. Dre, Public Enemy, KRS One, Run DMC, Jay-Z(?), Puffy(??), Naughty By Nature, Cypress Hill, The Fugees, DMX, LL Cool J, Coolio (?), Busta Rhymes ... Or am I way off base here? :)

The weather's getting warmer (or at least it was up until this week) and I want some new music to listen to in the car...

    This thread might be helpful.

I would strongly suggest dropping the likes of Busta/Puffy/DMX/Coolio from that list.Your missing dozens of far doper artists, like Outkast, Mobb Deep, Nas, The Roots, Redman, Pete Rock, ATCQ etc.Pete Rock and CL Smooth's stuff is perfect music for the summer imo.

Cool, thanks for the link. I can understand dropping Puffy and Cooolio, although there are a few Busta songs I like. Definitely Outkast needs to be added.
