I have always been a big fan of cooking, my latest phase is trying ot continue making satisfying and delicous meals while trying to meet my dietry needs week to week.
im really enjoying building meals from certain foods, bit like ready, steady cook or something to me :)

I know there are a few recipes in the stickies but a designated one may be a good idea. people can post their recipe on a normal thread and once it has been discussed and dissected in miutest detail, if worthy could be added to the sticky.

it would be a great help for people of limited culinary ability, ie...most irish people I find:D

I agree. I desperately need to add some variety/pizazz to my diet.

Totally agree - weightgaining/loss diets can be pretty bland and it would be nice to hear some suggestions about how to make tuna palateable without drowning it in salad cream.

Sounds good - I have a few good ones that I use that I could share! And would like to more too :)

I think there is an argument for having a sub-forum called Diet and Nutrition. There are lots of threads in Fitness that would fit there.

    I agree too.

Agreed to the sub-forum idea, would be a great resource.

    Think! (and act :) )

I'm dying for some fresh ideas. Anyone know of any good sites for healthy recipes that don't require too many fancy ingredients and have step-by-step instructions?

Hmmmm , the issue with a "Diet and Nutrition" Forum is that it is extremely broad scope. It can effectively cover EVERYTHING from pro ana to the British Heart Foundation diet.

We could effectively be threading on lots of medical issues which we are simply not able, through either the base of our knowledge or because of legal reasons, to deal with.

A restricted ruleset would very much be in order if we were to request such a sub forum.

no for the sub forum for the reasons Dragan pointed out

But definite yes for a detailed sticky on what foods to eat for weightgain/loss.

As i've said its easy to do the math but its harder to find the foods (tin of tuna with a fork gets old fast) that fit the equation.

How about calling it "Fitness Nutrition".

That clearly sets out your focus and should avoid any of the unsavoury stuff that might end up there.

It also gives you the scope to lock/delete threads not specifically related to training.

Agreed, was just about to post this amendment! :) The word "diet" in the forum name would result in all sorts of crapola.
