Im just back from a 48 hr bender in the UK for a good mates wedding.

Y'know 2 days and nights drinking and indiscriminate eating.

I managed a session in the hotel pool and a light weights session while there as damage limitation on Fri and I went straight to the pool today for another work out to get back on track.

    back on normal routine tomorrow.

Any advice or ideas on what people do to help speedy recovery and to regain lost ground due to over indulgence??

Do you just plow staright back in where you left off or any other ideas?

Thanks, feel like Sh*t and dont want to see another beer or Kebab for some time!

treat it as it never happened and just continue as normal. People get too hung up on the fitness buzz regarding when to exercise, what to eat etc. If you eat fairly sensible and do decent exercise 90% of the time think of the weekend passed as a reward:D

Could never do what? Take 2 days off ! Thats a bit harsh now even most pro atheletes will let their hair down and have a not so occasional bender.

Ah go on live a little;)

Just back from a massive bender weekend myself. I was sober for about 6 hours overall, got about 4 hours sleep a night and 99% of the calories I got were from ale.

Got 11 hours sleep last night and went to the gym first thing this morning, no change in routine - really hit the spot and certainly got rid of some cobwebs!

I was on holidays for a week, drank from early in the morning till all hours at night,no supplements, steaks three times a day and loads of fried food.Hit the gym when i got back with no loss of strength or endurance and if anything minor injury niggles had vanished.
