Is anybody considering doing the run? Its only 7.5k and it shouldnt trouble too many. And does anyone have a map of the route? I believe its different since the last time I done it (back in 2005).

Yeh, going to do it. I posted a similar query about a week ago. I'm only getting back into running again after a break so its a good starting point. Do you know if theres a map of the route? I have a rough idea from the last time I did it in 2005. Can't find anyhting on docklands website.

Remember seeing an ad somewhere in passing about this. Interested in doing myself.

What day is it on? Whats the registration process?

    Thanks

Hmmm, would've done this had I known about it earlier. If there's anything similar can ya post it up here, once it's not the women's mini marathon as I only dress up as a woman on saturday nights!! ;)

you could get a team together and enter the cork marathon as a relay. Another alternative is to look at the BHAA website's
    Dublin
    Cork
The athenry AC website is also a useful place for race listings.

Hey, I've entered this using the online for but have got nothing in the post yet.
Is there anyway of finding out where to pay/register etc.

Do they issue chips for the run for times?

Can I still enter this. I've just found out I'll be free next tue (I'm usually teaching).

It gives the times for collecting your race number on the entry form.

I'm pretty sure you can enter on the day, so you should be in the clear :)

I think you could enter on the day in previous years, but it's probably going to be really popular this year so you should call the Docklands Authority and check. I entered via the website today but I'm going to call tomorrow to see if they accepted my entry.

It was a nice evening for a run. Managed to finish in 38.41. Not as good as 2 yr ago but happy enough.

Only managed 41.40 myself this year. Wanted to get 35 mins or below. Still, happy I got and did my first race this year. Any races in Dublin area in June? Can't see anything open to general public until July - Achill 13mile and Adidas Dublin 5mile.

Was a nice run actually, i know it was only a short run for some(not me first timer) but i thought they could have had at least one water station it was quite warm and humid.

did it in 36 exactly myself happy enough with it, once i got to the toll bridge i got a second wind

Raheny Shamrocks have a 5k on the 24th June.

The Calcutta Run (10k) is on this Saturday - starting at Blackhall Place and mostly through the Phoenix Park. It's a really nice one to do.

Yeah I was disappointed that there was no water station. I think I'll have to email them about that. However I usually bring lucozade sachets (the orange glucose ones) with me. Had none last night and my time suffered as a result. They're great for an energy boost.
