    Save and get a ConceptII,

They are the best, and there would be a couple of the older models floating around second hand. No idea on prices through...

pyscho is right, save and get the concept 2. its what all rowers use. There not as big as you would think. I had one a few years ago. We kept it outside with a bicycle cover over it too stop it getting wet and before that we used in a emptish wooden shed (your basic garden shed) They are slimmer than you think and you probably could store it upright but i dont know that would effect the mechanics.

It simple really - if you want a good machine then get that a CII, if not, then try the argos ones.
