Hello all, im pretty new to this weights stuff. so i was wondering if you lot in your wisdom could give me some tips on a workout plan..pls
Its just i heard..e.g if you work your chest..your triceps are secondary..so you should work them in the same day. Then rest those parts for 1 day before working them again

    I.e Monday - Chest / triceps
    Tuesday - Biceps /Abs/ Legs
    Wednesday - Chest /Triceps /shoulders

Also before i do anything i normally run 2k, then cycle 5k, then row 2k and then a few lengths in the pool at the end

    etc.

Something like that pls for roughly 4-5 days a week would be nice :):)

Im not tryin to be one of these big chested bodybuilder guys :) ...just toned really :) and to build a bit of muscle :p

    Thanks

To cut out the bother of working out split routines I just do full body routines, was doing them 2-3 times a week, now only 1-2.
    Also before i do anything
Always do the weights first!, this way you have more energy so can do more reps, tax/work the muscle more and hence promote more growth.

That doesnt happen by lifting the wrong weights one day. If you want to look "toned", then lift big weights with the intention of looking like a big chested bodybuilder, because you will probably never get there, but could get to the size you want to be by trying.

I would do 2-3 full bodyworkouts a week and the other days do your cardio.

Agreed with above and like you are going to wake up some day and wonder where all your big bodybuilder muscles came from!!

The good, because your unlikely to ever reach that level of development.
