Also, time for the end-of-year awards, aka, THE BRADYS

    The categories are...

    Boardsie of the year
    Best noob
    Angry post of the year
    Funny post of the year
    Thread of the year
    Erasmus boardsie of the year
Final year boardsie we'll miss the most
    Fight of the year

Post if you've more ideas, n when we have a final list of awards later in the week people can PM me their votes (prob easier cause our on-campus mod has the finals a comin!).

Yeah Id say that that would be a pretty popular place, half of UCD could be there (followed quickly by services).

    Erasmus boardsie of the year

Forgive my ignorance, but how many contestant are there for this or should we just give it to gav now?

We could call it the cliquey hacks award?

    Most long-winded poster...

We've had a few contenders this year.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,033 ✭✭✭Chakar

'The Boardsie Hack of the Year'.

I can safely say I can be excluded, given I'm not a member of Council this year.

Though I could qualify for the 'The Boardsie Political Hack of the Year'. Maybe?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,238 ✭✭✭humbert

I would suggest some sort of tiresome idiot award, or most annoying poster, but it would be tantamount to e-bullying.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,033 ✭✭✭Chakar

Sure we could have an award like the 'Gaffe of the Year' as such was awarded to Michael McDowell by Magill, for comparing Richard Bruton to Joseph Goebbels.

Although I know you're joking, there is a difference between a put down and UCD boards awards.

(For future reference, I was by no means implying any homicidal tendencies, nothing of the sort. I have better things to do, like wash my dog and take my hair for a walk.)

Grumpiest boardsie, Grimes? Would that do ya?

The sexual tension between myself and Pythia in that thread was almost unbearable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,016 ✭✭✭Blush_01

Yeah. That's what I'd call it alright. Unbearable. "I don't care... just stop telling me how supposedly pretty I am..." /me pukes.

Cos its basicly encouraging talking about the union... do you people want that?? DO YE??
Plus if its hack then it should include all the socities. I'd give it to Elmo for her love of L and H. They're one hackish society

Reading last year's thread has totally enlightened me. I had NO idea that Johnny Arson = Zane.

No offence to anyone but i think last years boards beat this years boards hands down. I know it was probably cos we all knew eachother (read i knew people more people better) better but it was just more fun and easy going.

I'll try drop down to the lake btw at some point.

Edit: I didn't realise who half the people were who had changed their name till i met em at one of the beers a while ago :p

Dajaffa definatley deserves the award, for greatest hack

Most Contraversial poster has to be Dontico, as a token of our appreciation for the great intense debate he used to incite, we should throw him into lake 2.
