I've been reading through the fitness journals today.
Was pretty inspired so stayed off the booze tonight and been busy putting together a fitness plan and using www.fitday.com

Before I start a journal, I'd appreciate advice from the experts :)

    Male, 25, 1.77m, 72.5kg , a worrying 19.5% body fat.
Goal: In 6-8 weeks to got to 15% bodyfat. Willing to cut alcohol for this.
If I can reach this goal, I can then start on other goals

    06:30 Whey shake
08:30 Porridge, skim milk and spoon of honey
    11:00 Fruit:Apple or orange
13:00 200gm of boiled veg, 200gm of fish and small portion of pasta sauce
    16:00 Fruit:Apple or orange
18:30 100gm of frozen veg, 50gm of fish and small portion of pasta sauce.
    21:30 Whey shake

    According to fitday:
1958calories (seems a lot-maybe too much for my fat loss plan)
272gm Carbs, 146gm of protein, 39gm of fat

Training will be running 8km 3 mornings a week-definitly a morning person:). I able to run this distance at the moment.
Cardio in gym twice a week-assorted machines
Weights-4 sessions. Two upper body and two lower weight.
Possibly a nice long cycle on a sunny Sunday afternoon

Any advice appreciated. Didn't want to start a fitness journel without some input

    A few points:

    - Try to avoid pasta sauce if it is standard shop stuff. Take a look at the labels of some of those things  Try making your own.

    - Drink loads of water. Have at least a 750ml bottle beside you and refill contantly.

    - Don't eat late at night

    - Don't get hammered too often

    - In the gym work on bench press, squats & deadlift (each separate days) to burn loads of calories.

    - Throw in a rowing warm up before weights to burn a few extra calories (10 to 15 minutes on setting 3 of 10)

Fair play for running 8km in the mornings. I'm definetly an evening person. Good luck.

Very much not an expert (so don't just take my word on it) but....

36 grams of fat seems very low to me. I'd consider (with the above caveat) replacing one of those fruit portions with something like a portion of walnuts to add in some more good fats into your diet.

I know I've read that some people on here avoid fruit completely when looking to lose fat but beyond the idea of taking in less carbohydrates in the form of sugar I don't know exactly why, but one of them might explain it to you.

    Hope that helps anyway.

I was just looking for opinions,i'm really into the world of fitness and bodybuilding,i know a hell of alot about it for my age and i'm not afraid to say it.

I know the workout i'm doin at the moment has mass gain written all over it but i was interested to see other people's perspective as to what they feel i could add/change to maximize the potential results.
