    ok guys,
we have a very good discussion about the irish girls and I have so much fun reading your opinions (personally, I think irish girls are very nice...when they give a boy the chance to talk to them :D ) but now let's give a go to the girls...
so guys, do you have with you your copybook to take notes???

    well..
hey irish girls out there, what do you think about the irish men?
    fire away :D:D:D

Sure were great, not a problem with us. The salt of the earth. Gentlemen would be a word that springs to mind... Pure gentlemen... I am sure the ladies will agree....

Irish guys spend too much time acting like they dont care what women think.

about 1984, but they are slowing down

    ... Ooh, "man-humour"...

Ah sure they're alright I suppose, considering I'm tying one to me I shouldn't complain - that would be hypocritical of me! :p

A lot of them could do with cutting back on the drinking and the fisticuffs, well, the ruffians anyways. Personally I'm not impressed by a fella that can "batter the head off" some other fella...? Why? In fact it has quite the opposite effect. Feckin eejits...

    :)

A LOT of Mammy's boys. You need to catch one that has lived away from home (a J1 doesn't count) for them to be self-wiping.

But saying that - it is similar to the 'Irish Women' thread.
For every Ugg-wearing oompalompa, you're gonna find a Ross O'Carroll-Kelly.

Hmm..the irish man who loves to bellow "look at de ghay over there" from the safe haven of a crowd of copperface jackoff(example) goers on a weekend gets on my nerves. The mentality is confusing. Don't want to slate blindly but I have been the recipient of this kind of ignorance walking by the above place. It's ridiculous and generally the first thing that comes out of their mouths because someone dresses differently or just dresses well. It wasn't necessarily directed at me as we were in a small group at the time. Obviously it's booze fuelled etc but such ignorance is fooking irritating.

Another trait, and it probably goes hand in hand, is the fellas who suddenly find a voice with a bit of booze in them - a barbed, malicious voice - and then the quiet as a lamb, rather bland person goes off to work on a Monday morning fearful that they might be late for work or forgot to fill the photocopier with paper the Friday before. Real men.

Okay, it will be argued that this could innate within certain people or that it's the causes of drinking and not exclusive to 'Irish men'. But essentially I see it as a monkey-see, monkey-do attitude, a gangish, moronic attitude that a lot of Irish fellas tend to adopt and decide to impinge on the unsuspecting.

Load a shyte, every westernised nation acts like that, not just Irish. You go as far as Australia and you would find the exact same thing in fellas.

I like Irish men a lot, kind of have to say that as I'm going out with one for almost 8 years now!! However I have gone out with a French guy who was the biggest overly possessive jealous baby ever and so got dumped toute de suite. I also went out with an American guy and found that he was a little on the arrogant side as were many of his friends. What I like about Irish guys is their sense of humour and being with someone who makes you laugh, especially when you need it is great. They do however (for the most part) drink too much and I don't like that, I find it makes them boring and the false confidence it gives them turns them into idiots. Also I would steer well clear of anyone who is still living with their parents past the age of 20 tops, ideally they will have moved out once they have finished school and gone to university or started working.
Overall though, while they may not be the best dressed or best looking in the whole wide world I'd still give them my vote.

Is it o.k if it's a council gaf? If so ASL?

Lookswise I prefer Irish men to most other nationalities I have met.

However when it comes to attitudes and personality there is a lot to be desired. irish men don't seem to have the same eloquence when expressing feelings like Italian/Spanish men. I hate hate hate the use of word HOT when describing a woman. Used a lot in Ireland. They are all about drinking their pints and scoring. Not so subtle when trying to get u into bed after 5mins:eek: A lot of image conscious guys looking for bimbos to show off on bebo but id say theres a lot of that with women these days too.

Although must say I like the Irish mans humour in general. Good fun to be around and generally quite honest but slow to emotionally open up. I probably will settle for a daycent oirish fella in the end,as they're not all bad.
