Boards private cash game?

As I mentioned in my noob thread, I'd love to get a chance to play against fellow boardsies/Davids (still have no idea where that came from).

Pref hj, p_l, lloyd, nicnicnic, pok3rplaya... And bcb for disrespectin'! That's not my list of the best players, just those I'd like to play against.

There are Fitz dealers around here too, so doubt it'd be a prob to arrange? 10 euro each to the dealer or something???

I've never met another member in there, but prob played against 'em, so this would be an idea opportunity and I'm sure would raise some talking points... The idea may have been put forward already, but sure I'm just a kid and the search option is invisible to me.

Anyone work in RTE? Try get this broadcast live?

I'll play so long as its 1/2NLH or smaller. I'd prefer it to be a home game as there's no point paying €500 between us for a few hours poker if we have the players. And like I said in thread 1, I'm willing to host it any night this week or weekend.

Seriously tho, its safe. I was worried about the same when I had my first boards home game. Everyone was friendly and all are well known so no space for getting ripped off.

I think 20/hour is quite reasonable for dealing a private game. I would usually charge more but as this is for boards I'm very happy to do it at that price.

I would offer to take responsibility for the float (cash and chips), as then if it's short there can be no questions as to who's shy. I am also happy to agree house rules in advance and apply them, or give rulings where they are necessary (I consider myself to be pretty fair in my application of and discretion with regards to rulings).

I am not free friday or saturday, but am free every other night next week as far as I can remember.

There are two ways of me collecting the "rake" on the night:
We could have a time collection whereby every hour I would ask each player for 2 quid (10x2=20).
Or I could take the money incrementally out of the pots. I deal quite fast, in HE I usually get between 25 and 30 hands per hour, so it's unlikely that any pot would have more than one euro taken out of it. Some would have none.

I think the second way is better for a couple of reasons:
on a time collection as the game gets shorthanded people have to pay more per person for their rake, and the losers often resent it even at full ring.
the second way means less interruption to the game.

Conversely, this method is less transparent than the time collection. It would be possible for me to take more out of pots in the hope that noone would notice, and if somebody doesn't trust me, perhaps time collection is better.

I can quite easily deal for eight hours straight. I can go longer than that but I'd need a couple of short breaks. While I know that some people think it's quite unnecessary to have a dealer for a home game, from experience I can tell you that you'll probably get double the number of hands in that you would otherwise.

As the hourly rate is quite good, obviously tipping is entirely discretionary. Some players tip, others do not, and I treat everyone the same, particularly in a game where the "rake" would be going to me. I guess what I'm saying is that while I would of course appreciate all tips, nobody should feel in any way compelled to tip me. I'll do my best job possible regardless, and treat everyone with the same level of respect.
