Eh? Even I don't want to see that much! Bolton-Reading or Charlton/Sheffield Utd would have been interesting.

Setanta aren't capable of picking a decent match and they have all 30 Saturday 3pm games next season  .

Even RTE and Setanta should have copped onto the fact that the relegation battle is much more interesting, and will get lots more viewers.

I put on an accumulator today and found the best potential returns i've ever seen on a reasonably possible bet.

4 team accumulator with Liverpool, Arsenal, Bolton, Blackburn all to win returns 103e for 5 put on! Put 2 on a covering one with same teams but a draw in the arsenal game. Said id throw it up anyway in case anyone else liked the look of it and fancied a pop. Mine was with Paddy Power anyway.

Lads, Boro are 14-1 to one against United, 12-1 in a Draw No Bet option.
This is not a bad bet at all at all.

Its in the "whopper soccer coupon" section alright. Doesnt come up on the first football screen since its not televised.

PHB that one looks good alright, though boro look really really bad of late, always chance of a backlash against a big team..

For the laugh, and wanting to spend the last 1:50 in my paddypower account I chose: Fulham, Wigan, mbrough, Newcastle and Pompy, I stand to win just under 10k!

I wont be spending my winnings just yet ;)

    Nice strikers goal from Keane.

Nothing to be scared about on Arsenals teamsheet.

    Clichy is a liability.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Spurs just scored, deserve it over the course of the match, Keane and Berbatov seem to be forming a really top class partnership.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 838 ✭✭✭purple'n'gold

Results I would love to see.

    Everton win
    Liverpool loose
Man united win (piss Liverpool off)
Chelsea loose (piss Liverpool off x2)
Reading win (and our local lad Kevin Doyle to score a hat trick)

    that would do me nicely!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Eboue with some great great play, after a great pass from Cesc, and Abedoyour with a shocking miss

Adebayor hits the crossbar with a header.

adebayor off the bar again - how many chances can they get without scoring?!?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

    Arsenal finally score, deserved aswell.

Chimbonda has been really poor in the last ten minutes, it's like he is unfit or something, he's just given up running.
If he doesn't come off, I think he'll be the cause of another goal.

Spurs are such a great team in attack, but in defense, their players are just poor, especially their fullbacks

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 28,128 ✭✭✭✭Mossy Monk

    Spurs 1 - 1 Arsenal

    Kolo Toure. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Really poor defending by Spurs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,594 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Toure!! 1-1 come on the arse!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,594 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

why is rosicky coming off? thought hleb has looked pretty dodgey myself..the beast is on anyway. not sure if thats good or bad though..he is handy to have up there if the fullbacks keep getting into crossing positions though

Could have sworn the commentator said something about Rosicky getting treatment when he went off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Anyone else think Spurs look kinda unfit?

Arsenal get another goal from a set-piece, another free header, shocking defending really.
How did Jenas end up marking Abedyour?

    Spurs 1 - 2 Arsenal

    ADEBAYOR!!!!!!!!

    **** YEAH

    Adebayor!!!!! 1-2!!

<edit> PHB i was wondering how the christ you managed to post that 4 minutes before me, till it dawned on me theres a delay on the stream!

What A Goal! That was just incredible. Out of your seat stuff.

Great match, kinda a fair result, Arsenal probably deserved it more, but over the two halfs, it was a fair enough result.

    What a goal!

Great chance for Liverpool to secure 3rd now, though it looks like Rafa's resting a few so we'll probably blow the opportunity.

    Jammy bastards Spurs!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

He! Glad I missed my bet (Spurs-Arsenal had already started so made a different pick of 5) :D

    Liverpool line up

    Reina
    Arbeloa---Carra--Hyypia--Riise
    Pennant-Alonso-Zenden-Gonzo
    Crouch--Kuyt

    Mike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,500 ✭✭✭✭cson

The sooner Hleb and Baptista pack their bags the better. Hleb $hitehawking on the ball as usual and Baptista with a shocking miss from 5 yards to add to his growing collection.

Eboue was great today but he needs to cut out the playacting or he'll be a much hated and targeted player.

And could Wenger please send for Artur Boruc quickly. A touch of alzheimers about Lehmann today, coming off his line to collect a ball and flapping at it/forgetting it.

    Madness.

Bloody hell why the hell isn't Finnan even on the bench again? ruining my fantasy football team so that Benitez chap is

On the Arsenal game, that goal was quite similar to the one Essien scored earlier in the season in the way it came about and its timing, just when you thought they had the win sewn up. Bit unlucky hitting the bar numerous times and Fabregas really made the difference when he came on with his 2 assists. Hopefully Rosicky isn't injured he's been doing very well in the last few games, not so much in this one though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Thanks for the top PHB, 21/1 (betfair.com) on Middlesbrough beating Man Utd is an excellent price.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,594 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

kuyt scores with a header from a great pennant cross. 1-0

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

If Wigan had any ambition they might score. Have to get Camera on, Liverpool should give Bellamy 20 mins as well.

    Mike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,538 ✭✭✭PiE

Losing patience with Gonzalez. Yet to see him justify the effort Rafa put into getting him. Every time he attempts to run with the ball, he either runs straight into a defender or just falls over.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

    Wigan are shocking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,594 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

The break looks like it did Kuyt the world of good, looking back to his early season form today.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 28,128 ✭✭✭✭Mossy Monk

Great finish for Reading. 1-0 down to Bolton on the 84th minute. Doyle has scored two and Hunt has gotten one.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Good solid win by Pool, pity Kuyt did'nt get his hat-trick, Bellamy did very well and looks fresh if as usual moaning! Gonzo got better I think, had two or three half-to-good chances.

Reading the comback kings of the day. 3-1

My bets are shot to pieces :D

    Mike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,594 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

yeah my bets ended in complete failure too. I cant believe the finish of the bolton game!

Gonzo definately picked up a little for the lst 25minutes. looked dodgey up till then, but for this season im happy so long as he shows there is definate potential for improvement. Should play the prem games from here in to give him as much of a run as possible since we're safe now anyway, probably confined to the bench for champions league action with it being set in stone that 3 midfielders will play and pennant has looked the better to secure the one natural wide position with gerrard in the other probably.
