Hopefully the right place for this.

Keen to reenter the hobby - sold all my bits a while back.

Need to therefore start from scratch - TX etc, the whole lot. Also then looking at getting a mid size electric heli - perhaps TREX 450 size ....

Anything out there for sale? Perhaps I can get enough parts together to only get minimal new bits.

Norman, do you guys sell / stock the DX7 Radio kit?

    Hi Chaz
The 2.4ghz radios are definitely avail from Green Hobby & Model in Harolds Cross. I sold one to a pal several weeks ago. They're not held in stock permanent - get 'em in on request.

I have handled the DX6 myself ... not overly impressed with it I must say, I thought it was comparable with the cheaper type of 6 ch computer radios, though on a different frequency, and I kinda left that stuff behind a few years ago.
The DX-7 I have not held in my hand as yet, it is supposed to be a nicer all round radio than the DX-6 with better software. Patrick would get one for you no prob I'm sure, if you ask.

About the 2nd hand heli - I am aware of one chap who is selling up, but it's a glow piston engine 30 size heli with a Hitec Eclipse 7 computer radio. It's on a notice on the bulletin buy-sell board in GHM.
I don't know of any leccie helis being sold secondhand locally. But I wouldn't be as totally up to date on leccie helis for private sale as Patrick.

You should definitely talk with Patrick, he flies a TRex 450 himself, as well as a Twister 3D, a Logo 10 and a Logo 14 all of them "blinged up" with European brushless, European controllers, (the Align comes with chinese BL and ESC and I reckon he probably removed them and upgraded it to European) top gyros and all the anodised shiny machined bits we like to see. :)

    Thanks.

Im looking at a TREX 600 currently for sale on RunRyder by a guy in the UK. Decent price, still new - build was not completed.

Ouch for battery price for them.

Can you tell me what a DX7 would cost from Green's - PM me if appropriate.

I dont come to Dublin too often, especially your neck of the woods unless there was something to come look at or pickup.

    Thanks

I would consider the 450 to be superior to the 600. The quality of the 600 is a lower standard than the 450 quality , so other makes become interesting in that particular size.

What part of the country are you based in now?

Point taken about the 600 vs 450. I think a 450 SE at similar cost might be better option, at least then batteries are alot more affordable.

In Dundalk at the moment. In Dublin once in a while - not your neck of the woods though.
