Well if it's a high fibre diet (whole grains, fruit and veg) then you should b very regular. I do my *ahem* number 2, at least once a day. I pee about 6-7 times a day too but that could be because I'm only going back to drinking a lot of water very recently. :)

Regular ... erm... movement is a great thing. If it stops coming out solid you might want to take note though, it should be reasonably easy to deposit and fairly robust, not smell *too* bad, and an even-ish brown colour. Any hints of green and/ or mucus is also cause for concern.

And I mean all of that in total seriousness!

Frequent peeing is nothing to worry about either, unless accompanied by a stinging sensation. Pee should be clear/ pale in colour. If it's dark yellow it means it's quite concentrated and you need to drink more fluids.

lol, true, she isn't!! But there is truth that your stools can give you information about how well you're eating. Discolouration, a particulalry pungent smell and softness/ liquid texture generally come about when you eat a nutrient-poor diet and a colour change in particular can come about from an infection in the gut. Obviously constipation may indicate a lack of fibre and diarrhea can indicate food tolerances (although there are many other causes of both).

random poo related comment. When I moved to germany I asked someone why the toilets were a funny shape. They told me it was because they needed a shelf in the toilet so people could examine their poo.

I've been told that to work in food service in Germany you have to have a medical which involves bringing in a stool sample.

The doctor asked me for a stool sample.....he said "D, you need less fibre in your diet if your crapping chinese style foot stools." :D

yep they are big into their medicals in Germany. Every 6 months we had to give our total urine output for 24 hours to them. It meant carrying around a 5 litre bottle for the full 24 hours...... It was not the day to go on a first date needless to say:D

Also in german the word poo and chair sound the same. It lead to an interesting encounter when I was only learning the language where a doc asked me for a poo sample and I siad thank you very much and sat down!
