My free copy arrived this morning in a nice Sony black plastic packaging.

Yep it was quick. I thought it was another package I was expecting, but was surprised when I opened it.

On the back though it says - not for sale / resale - and it's in a narrower/slimmer box than the retail version of Casino Royale.

I havent gotten an email from Sony, robbing bastards. They pawn their average console off on me, promising me a free Blu-Ray disc and then never deliver! I mean I feckin registered at 9 AM on launch morning!!

This is a shot in the dark - I wonder if they are running a priority based service?

Has anyone who has not recieved their confirmation not signed onto PSN on their PS3's or bought somthing from the store to confirm your address ?

I bought a couple of games from Euro store, and signed in on the Wed/Thurs before Euro launch to activate my account on Euro server. (USA machine)

In the exact same boat... I rand the other day and I was talking to a girl, she just said some waffle that I'd still be getting it, the process is a bit longer if you registered with your actual playstation 3 rather than doing it online on a pc. Although she didn't like check my details or anything like that!

GIve it another week or two just to make sure. If after a reasonable amount of time you haven't received one or it doesn't look like you're going to, pm me and I'll send you my spare copy. I only need one.

Yeah I know you were joking but it seems a few people on here may be out of luck and none of my mates have a ps3 (and don't seem likely to get one soon) so I was planning on giving it away to someone here anyways.

It may suit Sony to send out 2 copies. The extra copies will be counted as units sold, Sony and Toshiba have been accused of massaging the sales figures in order to claim dominance in the next gen market. Truth is both formats are selling very little.

casino royale free discs cannot count as sales. that's why they have no barcode. the incentive won't favour blu-ray at all, the same way spiderman umd didn't favour UMD sales.

i'm told the reason for people getting 2 is that sony made way more then 100k copies of the free casino royale (which can't be transferred to rental or sales stock) and there was some confusion in the system, so it went back over some accounts and gave another copy for no reason. sony wont fix the issue because it means giving a copy to a mate to "check out" blu-ray and (in their eyes), get your mate to go buy other films in the format...
