This is the fixture that was meant to be Pakistan v India.... until some apple carts were upset. :)

Tight one to call. My only concern is Ireland might be tiring.

    Your thoughts, svp.

    Updates here tomorrow.

Agree. They've been a long time on the road, and its a long time since the euphoria of Zimbabwe and Pakistan.

They'll be up for it, but they need a couple of ifs to come off. If Rankin can regain his form of a couple weeks ago. If at least one of the top 3 can put on a decent stand with one or both of the O'Brien's. If Trent can win the toss.

it will be great if ireland can at least get some points and not end up with 0 on the tables board. Its ireland's only chance now of getting some points.

There are shed-loads of Indians here, mainly down from the US and they will be cheering for Ireland tomorrow. I was on a cruise today, me, the Da and 15 lads from Ghujarat and while I had reservations when I got on the shuttle bus they turned out to be fantastic craic on the boat. Between us we just about drank the free bar dry and the sight of all 15 of them dancing to Musical Youth on the foredeck was quite special. Really looking forward to tomorrow. A bit of rain here today so hopefully tomorrow will be dry.

I really fear another beating will be dealt our way. There spinners will rip us apart.

Thats worrying alright, the likes of SA, Eng and even India have struggled against their 3 slow left armers. How will we fare?

    Bangladesh should win.

Am I the only one who thinks Ireland should not have chosen to bat first:confused: Thought they would have more of a chance if they batted second........

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,601 ✭✭✭Marshy

Yeah I was thinking they'd have a bowl. They must've been wary of the spinners on a waring pitch batting second though.

Anywhere on the net we can watch this live? I know there was a stream for the SA game. Anyone?

If you click on the scorecard rather than the live text, it is working.

Ireland doing alright, need to pick things up now though with 8 wickets in hand.

    Ireland 127/2 (33.0 ov)

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 8,632 ✭✭✭darkman2

I think they have maybe lost another wicket.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,211 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Yes, yes they have. Niall O'Brien caught trying to reverse sweep. 131/3 currently

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,211 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Almost another run out. The dreadful run rate is putting too much pressure on the batsman. Yeah I'm looking at you Jeremy Bray

We need someone to hit a few quick boundaries

Niall O'Brien caught trying to reverse sweep.

He may have to sit in the naughty chair in the referees office after going off the pitch....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 67 ✭✭Quixote1064

Porterfield gone. Probably no harm at this stage but has done a good job

    215/5 now.

Great stuff from the Irish in the last few overs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,211 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Yet another run out, although they're more understandable at this stage of the innings. 233/6 with 7 balls left. As close to 250 as possible please.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,211 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

243/7 in the end, definitely something to bowl at.
