Sorry.. it was directed at P-Nut, as in why aren't you taking it?

Dr4gul4, creatine's a staple supp of mine. Both in ethyl ester and monohydrate form.

With the mono I just throw a heaped teaspoon into my RAM post workout. And the Xplode pre workout takes care of the CEE.

    I really don't think there's any need to load it as some suggest. I also only take it on training days. Mainly because of 2 reasons;

    1) I wouldn't waste Xplode on a non-training day

    2) I've heard of studies that have shown creatine levels only return to "normal" up to 8 weeks after supplementation has stopped. If that's truly the case then a 1-2 day gap isn't gonna diminsh my stores by a noticable amount at all.

As always james great info, just 1 question as im not really tryn to bulk up ( im big enough as is ) im tryin to lean out more and of course gain lean musclein the process, would i be ok with say 1 teaspoon in with my post work out Pro-x shake ?

To be honest, im actually just curious as to the boost it's going to give me.

    dave.

Creatine won't affect your leaness levels. It MIGHT (and I stress the might part) make you appear more bloated.

Before I tried RAM or Xplode, what I used to do was just throw a teaspoon into a half drank bottle of lucozade and finish it off pre-workout, and then throw another teaspoon into my ProX postworkout and then have a bottle of lucozade sport afterwards.

You need carbs post training... ProX on it's own isn't really optimal.

Hehe you ever have it completely fizz up and go totally flat? Damn fine insoluable powder + carbonated liquid, can get awful messy!

Yup. That's why it's a half bottle. A full one goes all over the place. Like that iodine snake chem teachers love to show off with!!

i've had Kenny say this to me also, but im still a little unsure as to why , ( more reading required ) Mainly as im cutting why would i want to consume more carbs. that would mean i'd be cutting more whole foods out during the day. and as is im pretty stretched. well i think i am, could be completely wrong.

Well... simple answer = carbs replenish glycogen stores, spike insuliun and get all the nutirents to the muscles so they can go about repairing themselves.

How many kcals are you "allowed" per day?

Ya know what, i just realized this now  and way about to edit my post, and though, no wait he's only going to reply any way *sigh*

With my 15% drop in cals i think im toppin out at 1800 cals a day, over 5 - 6 meals. i could be wrong, however i have noticed a little reduction in the belly area, starting from the top down .

Hmm... so you're looking at approx. 300-350 kcals per meal.

    2 scoops of ProX = 200ish kcals??
    2 scoops of RAM = 440 kcals

So you're looking at about 200kcals in the difference. In other words you'd need to drop about 40kcals out of each of your meals to provide for it.

That's if you want to be REALLY strict.

Personally, I'd treat the post workout window as a free period, and if it pushes you over your kcal limit by 200 I wouldn't worry TOO much.

not far off, 2 scoops of Pro x is 121 not sure about RAM i'll work it out tomorrow if i have time. im pretty sure i can cut back on milk sum how that will leave me with room wot work in the RAM post work out. however my work outs are usually during the week post 7:30 pm, and finish at 9:30 ish. which might be a little late to be consuming all those cals. but i guess i can test it and see.

It's after your workout that your body is going to use them. I would happily cut 50 calories from all my daily meals if it meant improved post workout supplementation.

I am on a cut right now and i still have my RAM after my workouts. I can pretty much guarantee that two scoops of RAM will do NOTHING to dent your progress on a cut once they are the only High GI carbs you are taking in.

Thanks for the input guys, i'll review my carb intake over the comming days ( off to galway now for a stag ;) ) and make sure there all Low GI's im eating. as i said the only reall worry would be consuming RAM so late at nite, 9:30 ish, As i usually come home, make dinner, wait an hour and then head up to the gym.
