I am looking for an alternative to progain thats cheaper and has more in a tub. I find that progain only lasts me 3 weeks, that is if im taking it everyday. i dont have a job so i cannot dish out the money. before anyone tells me to get a job I'm working on it!
    Any recomendations would be appreciated!

    Food tbh

Or if you have to use a meal replacement, I like Mass X.

USN 100% whey is one of the best. Its better quality than that progain ****e and it a lot cheaper.

It's also whey, not a weight gainer.

OP, post your diet maybe and why exactly your using a weight gainer?

Good quality food will probably not be cheaper. How much would 30 portions of chicken breast set you back, for instance?

I'm neither sure nor arsed to work out the cost of a homemade meal for myself (100g cooked weight brown rice, chicken breast, olive oil, peppers) but that's not really the point.

Using a meal replacement regularly isn't great imo, regardless of the quality of carbs, protein mixture or any other added stuff, whole food is still a better option in terms of vitamins/minerals, possible phyto nutrients, better satiation and of course eating actual food is fun :)

I don't really like the idea of a weight gainer, it's a misguided term imo, sure food is a weightgainer!

If you want good quality chicken, and say 1 breast per 75g dry carbs (say bulgar wheat), thats about 3 euro a serving.

I haven't used a weightgainer in years. I guess they can be useful in fairly extreme cases, but best avoided for most individuals. Carbs are cheap. Good quality protein might not be, but it's usually worth it.
