    Hey Folks,

I was thinking about upgrading to a Foxconn 320MB 8800GTS, one of the factory overclocked models. I'm currently using a 512MB Sapphire X1800XTX. Do you think it's worth the upgrade, or should I save for a bit and upgrade down the line?

Other specs are Skt 939 X2-3800, 2GB of Corsair XMS memory, Hiper 580W, Abit AN8-32X.

    Depends....

Personally I would wait for ATI to release their DX10 cards and a price drop and then pick the best card for your budget.

I would always try and get the most out of a card before replacing it.

You would see a good increase in performance with a new 8800GTS, but I would always say if your present card is running well at the settings you like to play at wait.

I would wait as well X2K line is very near and see what ATI offer as their is a big gap in the performance table between the 8800GTS and 8800GTX ATI will no doubt be looking to capitalize on that.

At this moment I wouldn't upgrade an X1800XT to a 8800GTS not least without seeing just what's around the corner.

Fair enough Sir's. I can throw stuff on my account in work, so sometimes it's just too tempting to get something new.
