    And today he shares a table with Johnny Lodden, and i wouldnt be surprised if thats the TV table - if it is we will be able to watch it live at about 2pm on www.eptlive.com. Surely he will hold on to one of these big chipleads one of these days?

    Anyway good luck Andy

    That says 2pm, central european time, is that not 1pm here. ten mins away

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 497 ✭✭gilmour

    yeah it is 1pm our time, but the feed never started on time (at least in dortmund anyway) so expect it to be starting about 2 or even 3. The feed is excellent btw.

    *edit - missing from that chipcount list is a blast from the past - Josh Arieh, he has about 300k. Imagine if all the big names reached the final table.

    Just looking at the prize pool and entry fee and the numbers are not adding up

    entry fee = 10,000
    prizepool = 6,636,400
    entrants = 706

    should the prize pool not be 7,060,000

    Thats a big difference of 423,600

    €9,400 + €600

    55? christ

    610k is Andys latest count, still the chipleader by about 150k over Josh Arieh who is 2nd in chips

    and once again, like the Aussie Millions, Andy has not been all in once since the beginning of the tournament. Thats pretty damn impressive.

    "all your chip peter" - i disagree. he is too much of a loose cannon and received no end of luckt breaks throughout the tournament as per the blonde updates imo. a top class player - but too rash in tournaments.

    hes great to watch though..you have no idea what he will do

    Lodden may look like a loose cannon but i think he is far from it and all his deep finishes and success at cash games online show this.

    If you watched him in the william hill thing on Sky he played some amazing poker.

    Opr

    dont get me wrong i know he is an immense talent, but if he learned to slow down a bit during tournaments it would be a big help to his game imo. i also knwo he is one of the best cash players aorund Bad_ip.

    I happened up Andy Black, who just made a good call with A9 on a Q97 flop. His opponent moved all-in for 160,000 and Andy called with A9. His opponent held A7 and that was all she wrote. We're down to 50 players and Black must be near the 800,000 chip mark.

    Has the webcast stopped broadcasting? I was watching it earlier but it doesn't open now, just a black screen??

    Edit: Never mind, I see they are on a break.

    thinking the exact same thing, it will be a nervous experience watching him on the webcast (if they move him to the tv table) because his kind of blow ups are best not to be witnessed live in your own home :D

    Can he resist the urge to put his chips in play? He must have accumulated them by taking a few risks / good reads.

    This will be interesting. It's a bit like his WSOP final table situation.

    he has no where near 1/3rd of chips in play

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 497 ✭✭gilmour

    that was according to Pokerstars Blog. He has 860k.

    And yeah come to think of it he has nowhere near a third of chips in play, they started with 15k, Pokerstars blog updaters on crack.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

    There are 7 million odd chips in play aren't there? 10k each to start (I assume) and 700+ runners.

    no, this william hill is from america according to the commentary!

    william hill the bookie is dead many years he was a black and tan in Ireland early the last century and once commented to legendary Irish horse trainer Vicent O Brien that he should of killed his father before his conception after the trainer pulled off one of his many coups

    incidentally i see posts referring to paddy power as if the company is set up by a person with this name. the Company was set up approx 20 years ago by Stewart Kenny (packed up a few years ago and went off to become a buddhist). The figure head that we see in the press called Paddy Power surfaced about eight years ago presumably employed as a figure head because of his name to give the company a public face.

    I think you will find that PP was set up from a consortium of 3 bookies, one of which which was Stuart Kenny, others being John Corcoran and David Power.

    PR figurehead Paddy Power is a son of David Power.
