    Ok, first post, hello all.

I've been training for a good few years, average around 5 days a week. Recently I've decided to up my training regime a little. Going for 5 x 2hr sessions Mon - Fri (cardio & weights) & probably a 1hr sunday swim/bag work.

I have taken the pure creatine in small doses a few years back and thought it was ok, more so for stamina and fat burning qualities than anything else.

I'm now tinkering with the idea of testing out one of these new products such as UBF, etc (creatine with a delivery system). Anyone any history of using these? worth it?

I will be using amino acid supplements again for sure, not too sure about the creatine at the mo. I am pretty strict on my diet when in training mode, so i'm not worried about that end of it.

    Any ideas welcome.

    What's UBF?

I have a pretty simple supplement regime...

    Before workouts: http://www.pronutrition.ie/products.php?action=product&id=29

It's probably my absolute favourite supplement. Not only does it have creatine ethyl ester in it, but it also has some products that help to "pump" the muscle and fill it with nutrients.

    After Workouts:

This is not only the best tasting supplement out there, but also one of themost effetive. I rarely, if ever expereince any muscle soreness the next day if I use RAM

    As a Meal Replacement:

If you're looking to gain weight, this is probs a better choice tho http://www.pronutrition.ie/products.php?action=product&id=30

    How's that look?

I also throw a teaspoon of plain monohydrate into my post workout shake.

About 7 creatine pills before workout and 7 after. Plus 6 Tribulus a day. Omeletts with 6 eggs, loads or protein bars, milk, yoghurts etc.

Allthough after about a month of this i get sick of swallowing that much pills ( its a pain) and i just try to eat.

Eating lots is hard. Sometimes you gotta work all day and cant eat good, the important thing is to keep giving 100% in the gym.

I use a multi-vitamin every morning, along with at most 2 protein shakes a day.

I use NO Xplode before a workout, and a protein shake with some lucazade powder, glutamine and creatine afterwards.

I also take a glucosamine supplement after any heavy lifting, and take ZMA before sleep every night. I would also take the odd vitamin C tablet if I'm feeling a bit run down.

I'm considering trying this RAM stuff, it sounds pretty good! I think it might be a good replacement for my post-workout shake.

You seem to be relying a lot on supplements.

And why would you take creatine after a workout. I thought creatine was most benifical before a workout.

Ah not really, I wouldn't really even consider a multi-vit or whey supplements, as much as almost a necessity for most people who train regularly.

The lucazade/whey/glutamine/creatine combo after training cuts recovery time down significantly. Simple carbs and easily digestible protein should be consumed as soon as possible after a workout and this combination has all the right stuff in it. Creatine is useful after training as creatine stores in muscle tissue are depleted and supplementing them aids recovery.

As for the glucosamine and ZMA, they are more general minerals and vitamins that just ensure healthy cartilage, joint and hormonal levels.

I always take a whey shake after training , but I would eat a sandwich as well. I would have a large protein mean then within a couple of hours.

The only other supplement I would take is a serving of xplode before training as I feel it gives that extra pump.

But overall I eat protein with every other meal and plenty of veg everyday. The veg imo is the best way to avoid been rundown/tired etc. But obviously a busy lifestlye would make this hard.
