I went =for a fitness test at a gym yesterday and it revealed that i have almost 32% body fat...

I'm a woman, and according to some info i read on web it means I am officially obese.

This is seen as a more accurate measure than the BMI....

Obviously will do more sport now.... but any tips on reducing body fat would be greatly appreciated...

anyone been in a similar situation, how did you get rid of excess fat?

(I have a job that ties me to my desk, so my physical activity is limited)

Yes i have had client this morning (3 days per week) - she started at 33% 3and a half years ago and now down to 18%.

It takes time, practice and no excuses

BMI is bad for people who do weights, since muscle is included. But accuracy depends on measurement technique. People here have posted before who got crazy results from supposed professionals in gyms. A weighing scale is usually far more accuarate at measuring weight than a electronic device is at measuring fat. But fat level is better judge if you are carrying to much fat.

What is your BMI? Were you expecting your fat level to be about 32%.
If I use calipers depending on what formula I use I am between 8 & 19% fat!
