I'm joining one of the two gym's in clane next week but cant decide which one! From what I've heard the one in the westgrove hotel gives you a quicker assesment but it would seem that the other gym is better equipted.

Is anyone a member of either or can advise on these gyms?

I'm in the Westgrove and it has everything that you need. Cheaper and you don't have to sign up for 12 months either.

Hoping to resurrect this thread - Is anyone a member of the Westgrove gym, and how did they find it? They are offering 3 and 6 month membership so hoping to join for the winter months, but have never been to a gym before so hoping that it is pretty user friendly and not too crowded etc.
    Thanks!

Hi, I ended up joining Naas Health & Fitness, had never been in a gym before so wanted the support of having an instructor to show me the ropes, give me a plan etc, so went with the Gold membership option for an initial 6 month period. Haven't looked back, find the gym absolutely excellent, great range and amount of equipment, good selection of classes, and my instructor couldnt be more helpful and supportive, meet with her regularly regarding diet and exercise, and she has changed my plan ever couple of weeks so I never get bored. My membership is up at the end of March but I will certainly be staying on there.

It is a more expensive option I will admit, I see that Killashee have a great offer on at the moment for €270 for 9 months which is def less than I am paying, but I am really close to Monread & for the help I am getting for me the money is well worth it!

I have heard the Westgrove is a lot smaller, and you are left to your own devices more, but I guess if you have been in a gym before that might suit you, and it is a lost less expensive and they do good offers.

Whichever you choose best of luck with it!

Does anyone know if The Westgrove in Clane does a day pass? I called the hotel and they didn't know. Gym side closed but was looking to know for tomorrow morning
