hi there, just wondering if its true that Skype works just as well on Clearwire as other providers once you get the port "unblocked"? Has anyone had any experience of this recently?????? I heard ages ago that Clearwire were meant to be working with Skype to work something out but don't know what ever came of it?

    Thanks a million

I have clearwire and its pants. Slow speed, always needs to be re-set, cannot download from P2P. But can use skype with it (once you go through the trauma of downloading it)

Skype can work even on dialup, though not with pictures :)

using custom streams I've managed two way dialup voice & video at 33k.

Hiya thanks for your replies. I am happy with the speed actually. Never any complaints since I got it 6 months ago! I think it depends on where you are maybe? I am in D15. I know that P2P is blocked and I heard that because of this skype ports were blocked too... wasn't bothered until recently as want to use skype now. But I guess if you are using it even when the speed is crap it means that I shoudl be able to get it too. Sorry to hear that it sucks so bad. How long are you tied in for. I am thinking of moving to 3 mobile when my contract is up in 6 months. Although it all seems to be good to be true!!! Thanks again for your replies

    Skype works fine,

Skype out does not work. I hear the person on the land line, but the person does not hear me talking.

Otherwise Clearwire is ok. The speed improved too after 2 or 3 weeks. (seriously). I think they reacted to an increase of traffic on one of their service point...whatever...

    all the best
