    The Jewson Novices' Handicap Chase
When I started to look at this card I wanted to find a well handicapped outsider but there is no looking away from New Little Bric. It's up four pounds for the 8 length victory over Aztec Warrior who is actually down 5 pounds from that run. This actually puts them on closer terms and makes Aztec Warrior interesting at 20/1. I'll definitely be dutching both of these.

    The Ryanair Chase
This is a cracking contest. Monet's Garden is a worthy favourite and did well at the festival last year when finishing behind Voy Por Ustedes who won in decent fashion today, but form from a year ago shouldn't really be assessed. On the Kempton run Racing Demon has the measure of Monet's Garden, infact on that day I was very impressed with Racing Demon - I had totally written it off prior to that race. It was unlucky when falling next time out when it had every chance of taking hold of that race. Just over 9 lengths behind Kauto Star is very good form. It has the measure of Thisthatandtother. Taranis is another interesting contender who didn't finish too far behind Exotic Dancer in the Gold Cup in December, but I think Exotic Dancer has since come on since that run and that puts Racing Demon on better terms seeing how close it finished to Exotic Dancer. Racing Demon to win this, and is generally available at 5s.

    Ladbrokes World Hurdle
I actually won't be having a bet in this race tomorrow seeing as I already have an antepost bet on United. It will be very interesting to see how BJK goes and I think the major danger is Inglis Drever who ran a cracker when Blaising Bailey took the gold last time out. Blasing Bailey is now up 10 pounds in this contest, and Inglis Drever is only up two and I think that puts them on better terms. United would prefer the ground to be heavier but has an each way chance.

    The Racing Post Plate
Madison Du Berlais has never been a fluent jumper but made ammends last time out when showing a fighting spirit to get its' head up. That character is what is needed to win this, and it's used to Cheltenham. I had a look at Idole First when I first looked at this card but Madison has the measure of that by a long way given the form with Nozic. This makes the 20/1 for Idole First seem very under priced to me. I'll be honest, I haven't looked into the contenders form that much but I think if Madison runs the way it did last time out it won't have a problem getting up the hill, and the 14/1 available is a decent price.

You might wanna take the Each Way part out. If it comes 2nd or 3rd you are only looking at getting pittance back.

    As for me.
    2:00 New Little Bric
    2:35 Racing Demon
    3:15 Black Jack Ketchum
    4:00 Idole First (Each Way)
    4:40 Gungadu
    5:20 Refinement (Each Way)

I doubled my money on a small bet for Snowy Morning EW today.

I am looking for something else from tomorrow.

    The Previous Cheltenham Form Yankee

    1. Rasharrow 20/1 e/w
    2. Strangly Brown 66/1 ew
    3. Idole First 20/1 ew
    4. Monolith 9/1 ew

Bets bet of the lot is a double Rasharrow and Idole first on Paddy Power, paying first 5 on both...

Rasharrow, has been running in good class races, and seem too low in the handicap, has chel form on ground etc......

Idole First same as rasharrow, low weight chelt form ground etc.

Monolith, won chel early on in year Fair Along 3rd:eek: good ground, bad ish run in qualifier but that means nothing.... Showing cards and all that..

Strangly Brown Good past form, likes ground, Chel Form, Bit of a shot in the dark but allowed one...

Just the one bet for me today:

    Kings Advocate in the 1400

I've not heard much about this horse but seems to be widely tipped.

    Currently around 9/1 3rd Favourite

    It's a Tom Taffe horse...

Anyone on here got any insight on this fella?

fancy moncadou in the racing post plate.

I've had a woeful first two days, only winner I've had so far is Denman and that was no use because I had him in a double.
Hence, my funds are ridiculously low so I only put one today on the nose and the rest big each way bets mainly taken from that lad on the other forum!! I've given up trying to pick my own:o

    Crozan .................. e/w 20/1
    Blazing Bailey ................ 6/1
    Bold Bishop ............ e/w 40/1
    Countess Trifaldi ..... e/w 66/1

Heres hoping I actually have some money to back for tomorrow:D

    2-35 Taranis e/w / Crozan PLACE
3-15 Black Jack Ketchum (antepost @ 11/2) / Inglis Drever PLACE
    4-40 Gungadu Win

My cheltenham has been cleaned up a bit by Chelsea and Na Li last night. Reasonably confident of Crozan for the place, the Paddy Powers offer and drifting markets have shaken my confidence in Black Jack Ketchum so I'm putting a large enough Place for Safety on Inglis Drever - getting slightly better then evens back. Gungadu I can't see myself betting against, but the price offers no value. Throwing a tenner on it for beer money in the bookies - might get Paddys weekend off to an early start :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,579 ✭✭✭jimi_t

OK, they are using fresh ground today - could be a lot dryer.

Changing 4.00 - Gungadu Win bet to a PLACE on Blue Splash

This is another horse with yesterdays big amateur winner Richard Burton in the saddle. Might even be worth an e/w, I'll see how the first few fair.
