Well as im sure you all know, 300 is the new flick based on FRank miller's graphic novel.

Voice in the back - "Why dave what has this got to do with fitness you eejit"

Well whilst surfing away this morning i came across this .

    http://joshsgarage.typepad.com/

It's Josh Hillis' Blog, now josh it seems was one of the guys who helped train those actor's and Cast extra's in the movie.

The workout is listed in some detail, as is a litle video clip of them performing said work out.

Also this is Slight NWS, due to the half naked chicks that he has " helped" tone up.

Over all though, it's quite a good read, and looks to be a tough work out.

The trainer who site you linked to directly strikes me as a bit of knob. Plus there is no way i personally could work with him as he lacks any kind of phsyique that i want, but thats just me.

MT on the other hand i could happily work with. I remember when he was announced as working on the show he did an interview on the net and said "I'm not here to get celebrity clients. Unless these guys hate me i'm not doing my job".

A good article from him about it.

And on that note big man...

Mark has this to say about 300

I'll agree with you however, for a guy who " drastically changes people body's" he's a bit of a light weight,

Interesting, I never knew that it was the "body of a rockstar" that I was trying to achieve. Pete Doherty is the look i'm going for

Pete Doherty is a rock star now? Surely that’s a mistake? :D

Anyway, here is Dragan's "How to Look like Pete Doherty Program"

Cardio : walking up and down to local dealers. Occasionally getting to hump Kate Moss if you can get her off her face enough to let you touch her.
Weights : Carrying smack, farmers walk style back from dealers.
Diet : Nothing, apparently. Don't want to be seen eating in front of Kate, it might upset her.

Just to twist the subject line, what do people think of the idea of going to see 300 and then hitting the gym? I'd imagine it'd be a good motivator and could be fun for a group session...

Just to get back to the fitness side of things again - I must be dyslexic or something coz I can't figure out what some of their instructions mean, for example "5 rounds for time" - I mean, if the aim of the routine is to do 5 rounds of it, surely it takes as long as it will takes to do 5 rounds?

Been readin around about this 300 type training and crossfit in general since I saw this thread - looks just like what I want...

Just on what u said earlier Dragan about the Finess guru guy looking all of 9 stone ive noticed this quite a bit with some well known strength coaches they're not very big which is a tad odd when you consider what they are 'experts' at. Like Ian king and Lou Schuler and Craig Ballantyne and Alwyn Cosgrove arnt that big? while then u have guys who obviously practice what they preach like Chad waterbury and Christian Thib just strange aint it?

For me it's honestly just a case of make sure you know what you need before you go to a coach.

I don't really care what Alwyn Cosgrove looks like, I would happily step over my dear Mum to get to train with him. But that’s because Alwyn is a well known and well respected coach. For most PT's and Instructors all I can go on is what they look like.

Do they look like I want to someday look like?

It's an important and valid question when you don't know anything else about that trainer. If you want to run a marathon then has your trainer run a marathon? If you want to dead lift 600+ lbs then has your trainer done that?

I think it's just easier to associate with a trainer when they have obviously achieved what it is you hope to achieve.

At least he admitted the cosmetic enhancements. Most people look at the body of Leonadis, or some guys on the cover of men's health and fail to realise that while they do have good phsyiques they are also enhanced through lighting and make up as well as the occasional post production clean up.

And to think they didnt need to do all that as the spartans used to wear body armour!!
