Routine Advice Needed Please

    Hi,
I need a bit of advice on what approach to take to training please. I used to use the gym quite a bit combining weights & cardio, I was never in great shape but kept myself in decent shape. Over the last 12 months I have really fell away from the gym and into poor shape and bad habits booze and poor diet and I wish to rectify it.
I am 5'11 and approx 170lbs, with I guess high B/F %, flabby chest and stomach.
From experience & by using a HR monitor I know by doing a full body weights routine (inlc Squats, B Press & toher compounds 2 sets per excercise) for 45mins plus 15 mins on Stat Bike I can burn approx 600 calories with Avg HR of 65-70% of MHR.
Should I do this say X 3 a week (Mon,Wed,Fri) or should I be adding other forms of cardio e.g running on the other days? My goal at this stage is really to drop B/f.
Diet is where I fall down I eat a lot of bread and crap at weekends, I was thinking of aiming for approx 2,000 cals (using Fitday perday (is this too much?) with a 40/40/20 split. Are all forms of white carbs to be avoided including pasta?
Should I concentrate on doing more cardio if so how much, or stick to 3 days as above with a strict diet?
    Any advice appreciated.
