Hey guys! Thought I might start this post again and see if any of you have any luck?
I'd really like to learn Swedish out of interest and the youtube channel Go Swedish is pretty good but there are only a few videos and I really want to learn more. Any suggestions? Tack!

Heres sweden's equivalent of rte.ie, there's articles, radio and a player which surprisingly has quite alot of things you can watch here from Ireland, some of the shows have swedish subtitles which is great cos you seen what is being said.

Heres a site with alot of vacab and such

apart from that google translate should do as long as you take into account it can't always tell the context.

Here's a site for people that are learning languages to find people to practice with, it's vitual that you actually communicate in a language if you are planning on learning it.

Sweden's got a pretty decent music industry too , try checking out the itunes chart for sweden to get some swedish music to listen to.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I've found Memrise excellent for learning Danish. I have twice the vocab now and can start to think about making sentences.
