Let us know how you get on.. personally waiting till the hype subsides and with it hopefully the price.
Was all set for the N95 back when Komplett had it pre advised for €549.. then.. the E90 looks good..
I'll have to see them both in the flesh and decide on user reviews and analysis of field models not pre sale handsets.

Best of luck with it. Know the ship date from play.com?

In a way I find Nokia annoying. Just as I set my mind on getting one phone, they bring out another one that is better or similar.

They're aiming at niche markets within niche markets.

I got an E50 a while ago, but I don't really use it. Now the 6300 is out which also looks good and it's pretty similar.

I'm keen on the N95, but now the E90 is out. There's just too many to choose from.

And what do I do at the moment? I rebel against too much choice and stick with my 6230i.

Others I know won't touch anything other than a 6310i. I've met some people who have a 6310i and an E50, or a 6310i and a blackberry for example.

It's no wonder people increasingly have several phones.

Yes, but think I may wait for the E90

not liking the look of the E90 myself, will prob get the n95 as soon as it is close to the €550 price. May even wait until one of the networks get it, but unlikely..

Shipping the second of april as far as I know. Will post a review after I have used it for a couple of days. Dre as far as I know play is the cheapest from a reliable source

I'd love to get one but i think ill have to wait till the price comes down a bit. Need to get rid of my 6820; nothing but problems since i got it

it does, can actually see myself holding on to the k750i as a 'going out' phone and whatever I get as the day to day useful one. Have had an upgrade for 6 months now though and could wait for the next best thing for ever at this rate!!

yes, better, but I'm getting wholesale prices. Let's just say I could beat Play, Komplett, Expansys and Phonesonline on price.

pms sent. If I get orders elsewhere and made up the numbers to 20 for instance, I could knock a little off the top.

Everyone, but vodafone don't stock sim free as far as I know? When vodafone actually offer it on their network is another thing altogether..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 826 ✭✭✭dave oc

Vodafone dont do sim free, I wouldnt mind buying it from them as the price will be alot cheaper. Though they prob wont release it for a while. I'll probally be too impatient and just buy it online for a stupid price:rolleyes:

Interested as well, maybe you could pm me as well. Have been thinking of SE k810i: good camera and battery, Lousy joystick
Nokia E65: Nice size, keypad battery might'nt be bad,- lousy camera
Nokia N95: Looks mighty hot -- probably lousy battery

    Good review here:: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/media/item/Videocast_8_Review_of_the_Nokia_N95.php

I'm curious about how effective the GPS mapping will be compared to a regular navteq based system for Ireland. Overall the package looks fantastic but potential weaknesses such as inferior GPS and a great 5mp picture without an optical zoom might not justify the price just yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,470 ✭✭✭✭Cyrus

im sure the gps can be used with the normal software ie route66 or tomtom

But that means then you have to buy it seperately when the question is how good is the built-in mapping?

have a look online at some of the in depth reviews, it looks pretty good, although haven't see Ireland coverage yet.

For those who've pmd or asked here about a price, they're €699 + delivery or collect in Dublin city centre.

I'll only order once I've got definite orders for at least 10. I'm trying to get my hands on some Nokia 6300s as well as my source says they're selling like hotcakes in the UK.

Is the nokia n95 out yet.Has anyone got one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 826 ✭✭✭dave oc

Dont think anyone would have it yet, its only getting released this week or next.

I dropped into the carphone warehouse, and they have it listed in their March magazine. I asked one of the lads behind the counter and he said it should be released next month, but he didnt know what price/ network.... He said usually some network takes a gamble with the new high-end nokia's that come out(like meteor did with the n91 launch). Also, as usual it will be bill pay or sim free.
