I'll be moving to Carlow city in April. I'll be there about a year. Anyone know of any hardcore, old school, free weights, no tv and disco music, gym there?

There's a gym in Carlow town run by a Jani something or other who's competed a few times I believe, which is a serious, pretty much all free weights place. Ask around down there as far as i know it's where many of the serious trainers are.

My source for this information was a guy I know from Carlow who trains there that I know from a gym I train in in Dublin  . When (if) I see him again I'll try get some detailed information but like I said it's not that big a town so if you ask around when you're down there you should find it quick enough.

    Best of luck

Thanks for the information. Living aborad can be pretty boring at the beginning and getting some gym time is always a good de-stressor. Once again thanks for the information
