Hi all, I have a friend who's looking to put in 2 VOIP phones into his Internet Cafe. What he wants exactly is a way to activate, deactivate and bill customers. I've looked around and I can't seem to come across an easy to manage cheap solution. The cheaper the better :P he's on a tight budget.

I know of a few of companies that supply the whole solution, including equiptment, setup etc... but the setup costs are well out of his budget for only 2 phones.

What I was thinking was an interface on the control computer to lock/unlock the phones, monitor connections (i.e. how long to what number) and then billing.

If anyone has had experience doing this before could you let me know how you got on, and if anyone has seen any company/provider offering a reasonable solution coudl you let me know.

    Thanks

There is a company in Dublin called World-Link Communications that does all this including the setup and sourcing of equipment. Call Dermot on 01 8552560 or email callshops@worldlink.ie They do alot of this for most of the callshops in Ireland and they give you a free billing solution.

    2 x Netgear ATAs : €100
    2 x Blueface accounts : €20 per month (for geo-numbers) or nothing for 076.

The Blueface call-logs for each account will show the call times, destinations and costs to the café.
Apply a percentage to the Blueface charge to get the café's charge to the user.

Plus cost of 2 swipecard locks for the 2 booths.

You'll get an ATA even cheaper here : http://www.adverts.ie/showproduct.php?product=29218&cat=8

The TA612v has two Phone ports and you can set up two numbers (from the same provider) on it.
