Trade off between Pot Control and Pricing out draws?

    So whats the deal here? I have a hand but there are draws on the board. What is the trade off between Pot Control and Pricing out a draw? This may not be the best hand to use as an example but im sure ppl get my drift. I may well be behind here and need to control the pot - or he may be drawing to a flush and I dont want to give him a free card?

    BCB if there is a drawing hand and i am pretty sure a i am ahead i protect from experience i have been caught to many times against the drawing hand, best to take it there and then the only danger is even if you protect the hand and bet it out if you have donkeys on the table you still may get called and they may still hit.....the big tits
