Strangely enough I cannot find any information on eircom.ie as to how to cancel my phone line. I mean I can certainly pay my bill online , but nothing to cancel a line.

    What's the procedure?

You could always stop paying your bill and they'll cut you off ;)

I'm sure if you ring their sales line and tell them you want to cancel they'll either give you the right number or they'll transfer you through.

Rang up 1901 - Sales and they said they'd do it today. Funnily enough the rep had trouble figuring out an entry for why I wanted to leave. To make them feel better I suggested saying that I got a Meteor mobile. That way they can feel that they will still be able to screw me for money.

Don't even waste your time mentioning VoIP, I tried this before with BT when I wanted to get a ULMP unbundle done on my line.

Despite the fact I explained it in great details the only person that got it was one of the lads in their provisions department who I managed to speak to in the end. :D
