I assume the console version of SamSho Neo Geo collection allows offline play - I got a free copy of the PC version on the Epic Games Store, but it appears to require logging into an online account and doesn't have a training mode, which is one of those things that's just about acceptable when you haven't paid money but pretty damn sketchy otherwise.

Edit: rechecked and it looks like the Steam version doesn't have the issues of the EGS version. Store listing for Switch lists multiple modes so not an issue for Switch. Wonder if the netcode is any better than it's reported to be on other platforms (pretty bad elsewhere).

UPDATE: Regarding the European & Australian release...

With a heavy heart, We are sad to announce that the Europe & Australia release will not be 1 week behind the Americas version... It will be more like... 3-4 weeks behind.

Our initial estimate was too optimistic. We thought we were far into the submission process and we could piggy-back off the existing Americas submission. But it turns out that to proceed with Europe now is kinda like getting back in line from the beginning.

We tried guys... We're REALLY sorry!!

We'll update again when we have more news. But that's what the current timeline looks like...

Should be some time in early September I think.

if that's what passess for remastered from Square Enix I'm glad a cart at €50+ didn't come out. Some of these characters would give Navi a run for most annoying character. I'm sticking with the demo until the weekend if it gets any better I'll buy the full version but so far the extra 8 moths haven't been put to good use.

Definitely better stuff to spend €30 on and wait for this to go on sale very soon as it'll get panned, the graphics and character development have had little to no improvement loading times from a 4gb file is hilarious.
