grub error 17

hi me again installed ubuntu f***ked it up formatted partions and now any time i go to boot grub tries to load (though in theory it shouldnt even be there!) tells me error 17 and sits there forever!!!! MR

you need a Windows disk.

Boot it up and type "fdisk /mbr" That should fix everything.
