Losing weight - the easy way

I'm working nights, and bored, so i thought I'd post some random info for the frightened beginner:
1 lb of bodyweight (fat or muscle) consists of 3500 calories. This means in a year you can lose a pound by consuming 10 calories a day less. Put another way. having 1 less slice of toast a day with low-fat spread (100 cals) would lose nearly 5 kilos in a year off your frame. If you really wanted the toast , you could walk for twenty minutes at a lousy 3 mph (for a bodyweight of 70kg/160lb).
On top of that, for every lb of muscle you add, you will burn an extra 20-30 cals a day depending on your activity levels*. Which means that by maintaining that one lousy lb of muscle, your body will have burned a kilo in a year(and this will be fat), for free without giving up the toast and driving to the shops for your bread :)
You can figure it out over your own timeframe. But that, to me, sounds like easy money. So what ya weighting (geddit) for???
Oh and for you Gainers, the above works in your favour too ;)

*Varying sources on the net for this - this being a moderately stingy one
