    I 'd apreciate if you all had a peek and relay'd any opinions back to me on;

    1) ease of navigation

    2) product list

    3) Understanding the check out

    4) Prices

Any feed back is appreciated whether it be criticism or other wise!

    www.pronutrition.ie

    Thanks guys
    Jon

Looks very good there Jon -

    1) ease of navigation
Very easy, only noticed about the free delivery on the main page after looking for a "Help" section or something.

    2) product list
Seems very good (I wouldnt be too well up on the product lines though)

    3) Understanding the check out
Didnt buy anyhting (cos' i'm broke) but it seems fairly easy to get to grips with.

    4) Prices
The special offers on the main page are very eye-catching, everything else seems reasonable.

Just one thing I noticed -
When I added a product to my cart (RAM special offer on main page) I got the message to say added to cart but when I went to the cart it didnt appear until I physically pressed refresh (Firefox 1.5.0.9) could be a problem on this end.

Anyway, bookmarked, I think my next order of stuff will be from ye. Best of luck with it.

    Very nice graphically.
It has lots of nice features that I admire on other sites, like sort by brand or category.
    Some suggestions...

A good links page is always appreciated. Maybe a little blurb at the top of the categories like
    Protein -more info
Click on more info and get a basic description with links underneath it to indepth webpages. It is more impressive if a seller has an interest in what they are selling and can help out, rather than just selling stuff for profit

Tasters! You have these bulk order packages. It would be nice to buy say 100-200g each of a selection of 10-20 powders to "try before you buy", put in little labelled baggies. Having people select could be time consuming so maybe have set packages of the most popular.

"Free post"- On one hand I like the simplicity of the "free postage" model on shops. What I despise is being forced to register with a site and go through pages & pages before I find out my postage costs. On the other hand I am well aware that the postage is not "free" it is included in the price. Therefore I would expect to get a discount if buying more than one item or doubling weight in accordance with postage costs. The price is made up of
    product cost + margin,= A + A x 20%
adminstration costs= €10 should really be the same no matter what size the order is
Postage costs=packaging + actual money paid to an post.

Up front postage benefits the seller too, with free post there is no incentive for a customer to reason buying more to save on post. They also do not have to carefully consider that they really need. I buy from a online bike shop with "free post", many times I have ordered from them 3 days in a row, small items. I just thought "oh I better get that too", if I was charged one post cost I would have thought about what I was buying more on the first day and would have got all 3 together. Not only is that shop paying up to 3 times the postage, but 3 time the adminstration costs along with it. I try not to do this since the shop has great service and I want to save them money so they can in turn offer better deals, but there is no is real incentive other than that, and many would not even think like that.

If you were to do some postage price structure I love it when the shopping basket is on the screen from the first item on, updating all the time with the postage & packing all displayed, and it should be easy to add or delete from the basket to show how much you really are saving by buying additional stuff.

Rubadub, thanks for your detailed response. Your input is valuable! and your time is appreciated.

If you click on the product you will get a full description and details of use etc. Not all products are finished yet, it takes sometime, and there just aren't enough hours in the day!

This would be ideal, unfortunately not every company will supply taster tubs. Any that do, we are sending out as free samples while they last.

Thankfully there is no registration process wit us. All our business is done through Paypal, you can register an account with them if you so wish, if you'd rather not, you can simply order and disregard the account.
Believe or not the majority of our products have no hidden charges (including postage) and in most cases, they are below the RRP of what you would buy them in a shop. Bulk orders are different, you can include postage and still give an excellent discount on the products.
We can do this because we have a great relationship with many product suppliers here in Ireland - Kudos to NutritonX, Olimp and Universal! We also do alot of our own deliveries as part of our team of guys here is involved with a a courier company - so we make sure the buyer gets a good deal.

No problem, I like to help on websites, so many are poor and the bad points get copied, usually approved by people who do not even use the web! Yours works very well.

Yes, I like the fact it is not in your face but you get more info if you wish. What I was really getting at was a description about the categories themselves.
e.g. you click on proteins, and they would all be listed on the page, but at the top could be "more info on protein", this would give a short paragraph explaining the bare basics, most product descriptions presume you know it already, your spiel could contain things to watch for, like why some would be more expensive than others, e.g. some are full of sugar which is cheap. Then it could have links to sites which go really indepth into it.
    Same for creatine etc.

I was thinking that you could make up your own. In another thread I was suggesting that normal shops should provide tasters too. I am not talking freebies it should cost more since you have to package them individually.

Yes, many like the choice of either, especially with smaller companies they have not dealt with before.

That is handy to have, I wondered if you would do deliveries yourself. I know some homebrew stockists do since the stuff is so bulky it is cheaper that way.

One other recommendation I forgot would be to have the manufacturers details of nutritional value but also to convert them yourself to %, i.e. per 100g. So many of these brands use different values, "per scoop", per ounce, per 20g, per 30g, per 80g. It is very hard to directly compare products without actually calculating them out yourself.
Then you also have differences with many using lb and others kg. So aswell as nutritional value per 100g, it could have price per kilo like supermarkets do, and possibly nutritional value per kg, or per €.

i.e. buy 25lb of brand x protein and you will be getting 128g of pure protein per €1
buy 10kg of brand y protein and you get 139g of pure protein per €1.

Regarding 4) above: I noticed that your Proteon bars have a price of 0.00. You might want to change that before people start taking advantage.

Looks really good, i like that you can shop by category because thats probably more benefical to people who may not know the exact product they want, and then you also have the shop by brand for the more specific shopper. Graphically its great, not to cluttered. There is no about us section though i know the address and all is there, i think some people like to know a little about who they are buying of. One more thing

-With ProNutrition you don't have to worry about long delivery times and high costs or the possiblity of having your supplements being confiscated by customs. -

I take it thats because you are based in ireland, being an irish company is a great selling point...

Great website very professional looking so congrats on it.

Super feed back Kindle thanks very much.

Yeh the thing with ordering from abroad is that it can be very frustrating. I know many MANY people who were lured to American sites because of the current exchange rate of the dollar. However in a lot of these cases they were waiting months (i mean months for their delivery). The reason being customs take a dim view of anything that comes in from the states in powder form, they may keep it for long periods or maybe even get it tested in the extreme circumstances. Then along comes excise and duty payments which have left people screwed in the past. They are also aware that products that may be banned here are available in the states - in this case you will never see your product and expect some flak from customs too.
So all in all, its a chance you take in ordering abroad, we hope to make it a tad simpler.

    Thanks again

Great site jon looks very good. The pic in the main grapic at the top is a touch Hastlehoff but its generally a good site. Nice choice of colours, easy on the eye. I'd agree with an about us section as most irish shops haven't really taken the internet on board people may like to know who they are buying off.

I like the fact that you have ignored any shockwave or over elaborate flash and just kept to a simple html table base. Good stuff.

Not mad abt the man-crotch in the top corner :p

Great site. Neat and tidy, simple and to the point, great prices too, well done :D

    Some lil probs:

*Says state Whey Protein flavour in comment box, but doesnt say what flavours are available

*Has a star beside some phrases, but theres no explanation for the star [asterix, whatever, this yoke! *]

Hi John once again great site! Just one little point....I'd be unsure of putting in anything on your main page bout not havng to worry bout customs confiscating them. For the casual gym goer/GAA player etc this will only lend credence to the vague notion there is something dangeroue/steroid like bout some of the Supps. Now i understand that there is problems getting Biotest stuff into the country with confiscations et al but maybe you should put it somewhere other than the main page? Just a thought....
