    Hi guys :)
Im already in fairly good shape .

Recently ive taken to building up my upper body muscles ,biceps, triceps and shoulders .I do about 30 chinups and 60 push-ups each day .The push-ups are done in reps of 30 and the chinups are done in reps of 5 .I think The problem is that im 16 and I have a really high metabolism rate ,like really high ! !.I wake up in the morning have two bowls of cereal ,have a big lunch ,a big dinnerand a sandwich or two at about 12:00 .

Im not saying that im fat ,Im normal build .Everyone wonders how I can eat so much without gaining a pound .Some of my family mabers say i have worms

So what should I do to build up my muscles quicker ?Should I cut back off on the food or eat more ?Im just really confused :o

Im looking forward to your advice :)
    Thanks
    Bob

Big muscles come from big weights.. you need to lift heavier to become bigger and have a diet to facilitate that. Its relative.

    What's your current Weight? Height?

Im just over 6 foot and im 10 stone so that should tell you my rough size .I find lifting weights boring ,can i build up big muscles on the chin-up bar and push-ups aswell ?

    Thanks

You find weights boring, or you find them hard? I can't see how pushups and chinups are any more entertaining :D . Weight training is a different thing altogether than the sort of endurance training multiple rep exercises such as pushups will give you. Having said that, I've started incorporating pushups in my workout, and thing they're sliced bread.
What you could do is add weight - if you get a back-pack and fill it with 20kilo weights, you'll soon find those chinups and pushups more of a struggle and more akin to weight training.
You're young too - no need to be in a massive hurry to hit the weights hard - do some more growing first. I'm sure I'll hear about it from some of the other guys on here, but anyway ... a lot of track athlete, such as sprinters and hurdlers don't weight train til they hit their twenties, as simple things like muscle imbalances while your still growing can affect how you grow and lead to injury.

Your diet is comepletly unsuitable for gaining muscle, there's almost no protein in evidence.Check the stickies for nutritional advice.

Lift heavy wieghts, so for example that after doing 3 sets of 8 you're close to failure.. eat a tin of tuna before and after the workouts. drink plenty of water.

Oh right,I always thought it was a high rep count that did the trick .

I have a pair of 4.5KG dumbells ,so should i be aiming to use them over the chin-up bar if i want to see more results .?

I looked at the sticky's .Tuna is a good idea ,what other stuff should I eat that would help .Ive basically cut out most chocalatte and sweets which is quite hard for a teenager :D

    Thanks

With 4.5kg bells you wont really have much choice but to go high reps. You'd really need to invest in a bar and some weights up to about 90kgs,get a bench if you can afford it and have the room.Best of all join a decent gym, they'll have all the equipment you'll need and you can watch people to see how they're using it,it will also motivate you more than training at home.Once you get serious you'll need to look at all aspects of your diet,as its almost as important as working out itself.

you want to be almost failing your last rep of an exercise if you want to put on muscle.
